Just found your trip report and joining along! We will be making our first WDW trip Nov 30-Dec 9. Can't wait!

:welcome: Thanks for joining in! How exciting to be planning your first trip! Where are you staying? Our first family trip was one of my favorite to date. You are going to have a blast!

We are staying at POP. We have 2 kiddos that will be (DS)3 and (DD)4. We can't wait. They are already driving me a little crazy about if it is time to get yet. LOL

I am really enjoying your PTR, we will be at Pop Century Dec. 7th - 14th. Your adrs look amazing. I do agree with you that WCC might not be the place for you if you don't like attention on yourself. Although there is a smaller area off of the main dining room. We ate back there one night and it was more quiet back there and you can let the person know when you check in that you don't want the server to "play".

I'm subbing in! I didn't realize that you were going on another trip & had started a PTR.

Your plans look great. So cute that your DD picked the hotel. I bet my son would have picked POP as well.

Fun day for you all at Seaworld. I love places with animals because Dylan likes them so much. That's why I like AK as much as I do. Plus the animals are entertaining & you can spend a lot of time just watching them.

You are going to love POP! We have stayed in every hotel category from value to a deluxe DVC villa, and POP is in our top 2! It will actually be our third stay there this year alone (although the other 2 were just short weekend trips)! Olivia can't get enough of it! I know exactly what you mean about the kiddos already driving you nuts! Oilvia asks every day when it is time for Disney again, and then list her favorite rides that she "haves to go on"!

Glad you are enjoying my PTR thus far! I love writing them to try and get some feedback or ideas of things I might be missing, or even to give others a few ideas. I didn't know about the smaller area at WCC, thanks for the tip! I asked my DH and he said he wasn't sure about the antics, but the food sounds delicious to him... so I went ahead and grabbed an ADR at Teppan Edo and we will decide in the next week or so which to keep.

Thanks for popping over here! I LOVE all of your TRs and Dylan is just so stinking cute! It's funny to me to see how big he is even though he is only about 2 months older than Olivia. She is just barely 35 inches (and I only know that because she just makes it on Goofy's Barnstormer!).

Sea World is definitely my favorite non-Disney park! I have loved it since my first visit when I was 4 and my grandparents took me! I was lucky enough to get picked to feed Shamu and fell in love instantly! Olivia has always loved animals. We have 2 decent aquariums within about an hour of us, as well as a zoo so we try to take her when we can. Animal Kingdom is a favorite of ours as well. We love to just walk around the trails and see the animals, as well as the safari and FOTLK show-that has to be my favorite show in all of Disney!

First of all...is there anyone out there reading??? Speak up!!!

Well, today is officially my 180 day mark, but I have had our ADRs booked since last week thanks to the new beta version Disney is testing on the main dining website! We were originally going to go with with QS plan, but then once I realized that I could get EVERY SINGLE ADR I wanted (and had NEVER been able to get in the past), DH suggested we upgrade to the DDP!

So here they are:
Sunday December 5th
Lunch: Yak & Yeti 1:30 (new)
Dinner: California Grill 7:45 (new)

Monday December 6th
Breakfast: Kona Cafe 7:45 (new-I SOOO want to try Tonga Toast)!
BBB: 9:55!!!
Lunch: Crystal Palace 11:55 (favorite from 9/09 trip)
Dinner: 1900 Park Fare 5:00 (new-of course our newly made princess has to eat with Cinderella)

Tuesday December 7th
Lunch: Hollywood & Vine 11:30 (new)
Dinner: Garden Grill 4:55 (new)

Wednesday December 8th
Breakfast: Cape May Cafe 8:35 (new)
Lunch: LeCellier 1:30 (new, and SUPER excited for this one)!!
Dinner: Ohana 8:05 (new)

Thursday December 9th
Breakfast: Ohana 9:30 (new)
Dinner: Whispering Canyon Cafe 5:00 (new)

Friday December 10th
Breakfast: Chef Mickey's 9:55 (a HUGE favorite from EVERY trip)
Lunch: Planet Hollywood 3:00 (DH's only request, he loves this place and I hate it)

So, that is what we have. Keeping in mind that we have been to WDW many, many times and don't have the "need to see it all" mentality, what do you think? Have you eaten at any of our "new" restaurant choices? What did you think of them?

Hi Erin, just wanted to say hi and thanks for visiting my PTR! I will be subbing to yours as well! Your family is super cute, and your DD is absolutely adorable.

Great dining choices! I have to say that I have not eaten at any of them before! Like you, we also have Kona Cafe, Ohana, Le Cellier, Chef Mickey's and Yak n Yeti ADRs. We are so excited about them. All your ADRs sound really good though. I think I did eat at Crystal Palace once but I was probably really young then and my memory of that is really hazy.

That's so fun you're staying at POP and doing DDP! You guys will have such a great time eating at all those places!

and your daughter is adorabl!

:welcome: Thanks for joining in! Thanks for the complement, we think she is pretty cute too!

you know something that makes planet hollywood better? its those seperate little rooms in the dining room (if that makes sense) basically we were supposed to be seated in the main dining room but it was EXTREMELY loud and not fun! before we even sat down they realized they were seating us in the wrong place! they took us to these little rooms off to the side of the diing room. each one was about the size of a walk in closet and had 1 table. we had our own private room and the noise was much quieter! it made the whole experience much more bearable!

Hmm, I have never noticed the little rooms before! I think PH is ok for one trip, but once you have been once, you have seen it. To me the food is WAY overpriced for what it is. I can get the same meal at Applebee's for about half the price! The atmosphere is a bit obnoxious for me as well, so the smaller room would be good for that! Thanks for the tip! I'm hoping that will work out when we go there!

I figured I would take the time to get an update in while Olivia is being entertained by Lilo and Stitch! (I wanted to make sure she knows at least all of the characters we will be dining with)!

I don't know if I have mentioned it before, but I am an obsessive planner/organizer/list-maker, so it is no surprise to my family that I have many, many Disney lists going on and have been planning a rough sketch of our days for over a month now! Pretty much as soon as park hours came out, I started. My Disney "list" on my computer is literally (as of now) a 14 page document of charts, tables and misc stuff! The first page is just a list of our ADR times and confirmation numbers, the next page is a chart of our meals and an approximate cost (just becuase I wanted to see a very rough estimate of how much meals would cost vs the cost of the DxDP), next is a chart of all the parks and the hours for the week, then pages and pages of menus to look at and get an idea of what looks good, and a packing list.

So here it is, the VERY rough plan of what parks on what days:
Sunday:
*Leave home around 7:30 to arrive at POP around 9:00ish.
*Check in and hope our room is ready! Grab our mugs from the food court and hop the next bus to Animal Kingdom.
*We have a lunch ADR at Yak & Yeti at 1:30.
*We will probably leave here around 3:30ish and head back to POP to get unpacked and settled and showered.
*Dinner is at 7:45 at California Grill!!! I am super excited for this one! We are hoping to catch the fireworks from MVMCP (which I hear are at about 9:30. Can anyone confirm this?)

Monday:
*This is one of our early days.
*Breakfast is at 7:45 at Kona Cafe. Tonga Toast here I come!
*Monorail to MK...my most anticipated part of the trip is next...BBB!!!! Olivia has a 9:55 appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!!! princess:
*After her princess makeover we plan to do the photoshoot right away to get it over with (while she is still clean).
*Next is lunch at Crystal Palace at 11:55. I'm hoping BBB doesn't run too far behind so we have time to do the photoshoot afterwards, before lunch.
*After lunch we will either hang around MK or head back to POP for some rest. I am not sure which yet. Dinner is at 5:00 at 1900 Park Fare followed by Spectromagic at 7:00 and Wishes at 8:00. This is are only chance all week to see Spectro and Wishes, so this is a definite!

Tuesday:
*This is our Hollywood Studios day. We don't have anything planned until lunch at 11:30 at Hollywood & Vine.
*We will probably hang out at the Studios until 4:00ish when we take the boat to Epcot for our 4:55 dinner at Garden Grill.
*After dinner I am thinking we will hang out at Epcot for a bit and then either hang out at Epcot and get great night time pics or head back to Hollywood Studios to see the Osbourne lights.

Wednesday:
*Another early day.
*Breakfast is at 8:35 at Cape May Cafe.
*After breakfast we will make our way to Epcot
*I really want to hit the as much of World Showcase as possible on this trip. We usually make a mad dash around the lagoon and miss the good stuff!
*We will try and get future world out of the way in the morning and then start the WS after our 1:30 lunch ADR at LeCellier!!!!
*The hotel sounds like a good plan for later in the afternoon since our dinner is until 8:05 at Ohana.

Thursday:
*This morning we are going back to Ohana to eat breakfast with Lilo and Stitch! I heard such good things about both meals at Ohana, I couldn't decide which I wanted to go to, so I picked both!
*After breakfast it's Magic Kingdom time for about half the day.
*At some point we will take the monorail to Epcot and hang out there until our dinner ADR at 4:40 at Teppan Edo (yep, I changed it from Whispering Canyon Cafe).
*Not sure what we will do this evening. Either Stay at Epcot or go to HS and see the Osbourne lights (whatever we didn't do on Tuesday night)

Friday:
So sad...our last day
*We get to sleep in (at least a little bit). Get the final packing done, and load up the car.
*Breakfast is at Chef Mickey's at 9:55. I know it gets a bad rap, but we have never had a bad meal there, and we love it!
*Not sure what the rest of the day holds. Maybe a park? Downtown Disney? I honestly have no plan for this day!!!
*We have a late lunch at 3:00 at Planet Hollywood. If we don't hit Downtown Disney earlier in the day, we will probably do it after lunch and then very sadly head home.

So that is it. Our rough plan for the week. What do you think? Suggestions? Fun things that we may have not done before? Let me know!!!

hi!! I'm follwing over from another Dec PTR!!! I'll be at WDW around the same time in Dec (hopefully!) to visit my brother who is going to be in the Disney College Program!!

Let me start by saying :welcome: Thanks for joining in! I cannot wait for our trip! December is the only month that I haven't visited WDW during so I am extra excited for that! How exciting that your brother made it into the CP!!! I wish I was as Disney obsessed when I was in college. I went to school at UCF, right in Orlando. If I had known about it, I totally would have applied!

Hey! I knew I joined your PTR, but I never actually subbed, which is why I never commented again! Ughh!! Sorry about that! I'm all caught up now! Loved your mini TR with Sea World and Downtown Disney! Olivia is so cute, she looked like she was having such a great time in Sea World! :cool1:

Your itinerary for the week looks great! I like Chef Mickey's, I don't know why people complain about it so much, the breakfast is very good! :cool1:

Welcome back! I was actually just reading your TR and PTR last night, but was too exhausted to comment so I am planning on hopping back over this morning to do just that!

Thanks for the mini TR approval! Olivia is a great kid (most of the time!), and does really, really well when we go to parks and are out in public, I guess she saves the naughty time for home-which is good! She is quite a little daredevil and was devistated when she couldn't ride the big roller coasters because she is too short! She definitely got that gene from me, because Toby is terrified of any type of ride that has height.

I was wondering the same thing about Chef Mickey's we love it, we have actually eaten all 3 meals there, and never had issues with any of them, although breakfast is our favorite. I think that might be because what better way to start your day than with Mickey?!

Wooo Hoooo I finally made it over!!! :cool1: Can't wait to read more!

I always make the same joke about Aisling that you make about Olivia. I always say that she clearly wanted to be here for ALL the holidays. She was due the week after Thanksgiving and was born a week before Halloween!

Glad you made it over here! I didn't realize that Aisling was a preemie too! You would never know by looking at her now!!! Did she have to spend any time in the NICU? I had always joked when I was pregnant with her that she better not be born after my due date of December 31st b/c I didn't want to miss out on the tax refund! I guess she took me too seriously!

Thanks for your mini TR! I've always wanted to go to Sea World. :goodvibes Your itinerary looks perfect.

Glad you liked the mini TR! We had a really good time despite the heat! I think we are going to head back when we go to Disney in December, at least for a couple of hours or so. Thanks for the itinerary approval! I still have lots of tweaking to do, but I want some opinions of the general outline!
