Loose lithium batteries in checked baggage no longer allowed.

Please excuse me if this has been posted already.
Search never works for me, although it did for a brief moment earlier today, and will not now.

This was brought up on another thread and thought it would be welcome here.

Correct, you can take them in carry on, and they want them protected so they dont short out. Either get the covers for them, use electrical tape or put them in something like baggies.
 
I wonder if they'll be smart enough to distinguish a NiMH battery from an LI battery. I doubt it.
