We are camping 1st time in April. We are staying in a Preferred. They said we will be in 100-300 and won't know till we get there. Is this good?

Depending on what size unit you have, some of the sites are a little tight, I would consider it "good". You will be in the loops that are closest to the Settlement and Marina. If you don't have pet you will probably be in 100 or 200, however if they are full they will put you in 300. ENJOY YOURSELVES.

We were in the 200 loop in early November. The spots are somewhat tight if you have a larger TT but we were thrilled with it's proximity to the marina and restaurants. Although the loops were close to the action, we found that they were much quieter than I had anticipated (although it was considered to be one of the slower seasons). We hope to get the same area next time. Enjoy your trip!

We are staying at the Fort (booked a preferred site) in april for the first time too.
Our dates are the 16th-24th.

We had site 214 and loved it!!! We have a 34' TT with a superslide and had tons of room - okay to back-in not too tight!

Make sure your rv size is noted on your reservation. The site assigner should take that into consideration. Not always, but hopefully they do. And when you get there, if the site won't work just let them know and they will do their best to move you.

We have been in the 100 loop twice with a 27 foot trailer and a van as the tow vehicle plus a 12 X 20 foot screenhouse behind the trailer in the sand pad, we fit in .

I thought of you today Frank. I saw a T-shirt with a really ugly mean looking fish on it and the shirt said "I have an angler management problem." lol

who ever came up with that shirt musta been thinking about me too,:rotfl2:

Just FYI, but the only Preferred loops left are 100, 200 and 300 (pet loop), so if you book that level of site, that's where you'll end up. All of them are similar when it comes to site size, how tight the roads are.

300 is actually our favorite, and we've seen some monster rigs pull into some of the bigger sites there without any trouble at all. :)

You should have no problem we have been staying there 100-300 for the last 30 plus years. Have fun we will be there over Easter holiday.

Our MH is 39' and our toad is a MDX. We loved our site and loop especially being able to hear the water parade at night. The kids used the comfort station to shower and it wasn't too far for them.
The best sites in my opinion would be about 5 down from us but on the outside so 220ish these are all wooded behind and don't back up to anyone.
My only gripe about our site was the recycling and garbage can, it was convenient but too close.

Our first ever Fort trip was in 2006 and we were in spot 209. Great spot with our own grapefruit tree.

Yes, they're a little tight but you only have to park the camper once. We'd gladly stay there again.:thumbsup2

This is site 215 last November..we loved it.

I soooo want to be there right now,,awesome look'n weather,,
not like here, :sad1:

I walked around those loops quite a bit when we were there in November, I saw plenty of large rigs/extended setups - I think you'll be fine. You can always try to switch when you get there if you aren't happy with your site.
