Okay, after watching the video of the "wild ride through Fort Wilderness", I was wondering. In your estimation, about how long would it take to "loop" through Fort Wilderness in it's entirety? When my fam and I go in April, we would like to take the golf cart around and scope out which loops/sites we want to request on our next FtW trip. (haha, we haven't even been on our first trip to the fort yet, and already I'm planning our next!)

Anyway, what do you all think? If we're going at a medium pace (not flying, but not lolligagging, either), and we wanted to see each and every loop, should I be expecting an hour? three hours? an entire day? more than a day? should i pack meals, clothes? Buy postcards? (just kidding). But seriously, I'm guessing a good couple of hours?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts :)

Maybe an hour or an hour and a half?
I've never timed it!! LOL.

Thanks for the info Chris and Denise!

It takes a lot longer than that in December because of all the Christmas decorations. Also, we have to keep going back to get more beer and then stop at a lot of CS to unload some beer! :lmao:

Beer stops do increase the looping time. But I have found a bigger cooler helps.:)

You really can't put a time on looping thru the entire of FW,,not only is it a adventure,,it's a art to loop properly.:woohoo:

Lets start by answering your couple of questions.
I would pack lightly for the trip,,in fact I would not pack at all for this trip,,but I would wear clothes. If your naked, someone is liable to mistake you for being a wild animal, capture you and turn you back into the wild.

Pack meals? LoneStar is correct,,food is not necessary, as long as you bring a large cooler of beer. Beer will provide you with all the nutrition you need to sustain you thru the trip,,and quinches your thirst.

Absolutely buy and send postcards, send one from each loop you enter, each time sending the postcard to a different Fort Fiend.:thumbsup2
We all like to know how the looping is coming along for first timers.

And above all,,be sure to look for the Limegreen Mickey Heads, the Mickey head lamp Posts,,and the Kungaloosh Kiwi. I hear the Kungaloosh Kiwi is a rare find and can be worth the trip just in itself !

AND BRING A CAMERA !

You forgot Al...I can put a cooler in the cart & give you some Depends. Now we're back to an hour or so.

Karla - you're going to want to "loop" the fort more than once - guaranteed!
