I'm using the lovely AOL... got disconnected from the Host game, can't get back in line...

Oh well, forget the pirate throne. *sighs* Codes, here I come, while I can still get them. I got around 400 in an hour last night, so if y'all can give me some time, I'll try to get as many as I can for all of us to split amongst us before it quits working for me as well. I play my Disney soundtracks and/or WDW CDs while doing it, and they get me going faster, LOL.

Desktop/screensaver shortcut is not working for me - going back one page to the organ is still working for me...for now.

How do you use a shortcut to the organ?

On the last screen collect your first code, then click on the captain's wheel on the bottom right of the page. You will go back to the organ entrance but you will not need to play the song again.

I'll divide up the codes once I run into the shortcut problem y'all are having, assuming the new trick just mentioned about the wheel works doesn't work for everyone. I don't want to take the time to do anything now aside from dinner later on and a few breaks here and there because that means less codes for everyone. If that new shortcut works for y'all, then I'm still happy to gift y'all the items, including an outfit if any of the codes happen to be that. Either way, I can put y'all at the top of my "People I'd gift to if I ever manage to win a silly outfit" list.

Sadly I just learned about the shortcut to click on the wallpaper and then clicking on vmk codes again. I tried it but it doesn't work. I guess i'll try the organ shortcut now. Honestly, I think VMK went a little too far to keep the sparrow costumes rare.

I keep getting that stupid "connection error" message, even though the shortcut still works for me. And when I do get a code, sometimes it takes five minutes for it to switch from saying "loading" to a code. Which is why I'm back here and posting. Sadly y'all might not be getting many codes from me. I would really like nothing more than to fly to CA and chew some people's heads off right about now. Again: Walt would be ashamed. He didn't operate this way and would fire anyone who messed with the guests this much.

I think they are fixing the system of something, I'm getting "connection error" too. Hopefully they are fixing it so that it is easier to get the costume.

Mine was working earlier today. I closed it for a while to go see Cars (which was very good btw) and make dinner. Now, it's not working for me... still getting the same code.

Maybe I'll try that other short cut that was mentioned before.

Wonderful, now the costume will be even MORE difficult to get than it already is.

There are times when I want bash programmers in the head for never updating anything with Mozilla, this time I could hug them. lol

I highly recommend using Mozilla with the POTC 2 game, although the first short cut is not working, the organ one is. But what is neat is that you don't even have to play the song; it cuts right through to get your code. Hopefully it's just not me and it works for the rest who try it on Mozilla.

Though a pain, it's certainly a lot better than going through the entire game. It seems the same load time as the narnia game, so not too bad.

It is doing that for those using IE as well. I just click the wheel, click the door and wait for the lightning to start and then I get a new code.

2. Now, of course, this game will be played the way they intended, a few times by each of us - not 5,000 times by each of us (not saying I like it, just pointing out that it IS the idea they had when creating it)

3. Hurry up and use that Organ trick. Now that it is here - it will be gone.

I for one, had an incredibly boring day in vmk on Tuesday with doing nothing but entering codes - and everyone I tried to visit entering code - so, I have decided my life will go on with out the cute little pirate outfit. Sadly.
But, that's my way of taking control back in how I play vmk and remembering that this is supposed to be fun! Back to exploding fireworks and building my next quest (which will give free stuff to vmk players!).

btw: Quick math -
- Let's agree for the following, the code comes up 1 in every 5000.
- Suppose 250 people are trying for codes during the same time period.
- Each of them enters gets 100 codes.
- Only 5 costumes will be in those codes.

Not for me thanks.....

All I know is once the original shortcut stops working for me (it barely works now; connection error to the Nth degree with a code now and again), I'm finished with getting codes. I'll enter what I have/give them to others, but I am not playing that stupid game again and again to get the codes; even the back option y'all are using I won't do because it would drive me crazy; takes almost 10 minutes as it is to load each room.

So, unless the costume I so wanted and so wanted to gift others is in my Word document right now (assuming the loophole for me will be gone tomorrow)... oh well. *throws up hands and shakes head* This whole thing is just so irritating/annoying/upsetting. Like others have said... I could care less about furniture in most cases. But I love costumes. So this is just so incredibly frustrating, for that fact alone.
