We (DH, me, DD-12) will be camping at the Fort from 12/23 - 1/2. Yahoo! :Pinkbounc (see my previous "sold out for christmas" post if you want to know how we managed). So, now comes the "important" part. We've only had our 29' Class C for a year - bought used 1996 Four Winds in great shape; been out to 2 other local campgrounds about 5 times for practice, will be going to Wmsburg for more practice at end of August - so, when we get there we'll probably need help backing into a site. :goodvibes

What is our best bet for a loop request - our res is for preferred? We don't have any slides, just the regular awning. We won't have a golf cart, it's not our first trip to WDW - but it is our first onsite of any kind - we want to be able to use pools pretty easily, get to beach for EWP & fireworks, do sing-along, etc. Another poster somewhere on here said the older loops are pretty narrow (hence the preamble about how we don't have a lot of experience in maneuvering).

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. :earsgirl:

If we stay in a preferred loop we alway stay in the 700 loop. It is a 2 min walk the marina, sum buses and a 10 min walk to the pool or you can just take a Bus but we love to walk. If you have a dog it is a pet loop to.

1400 is right near the Pool, bus stop to marina, campfire and sing along, and trading store. We loved this site !!!!!

Hi there,
We have a 24 ft Class C and we stayed at the 900 loop. We could walk to the pool , the trading post , etc, and there was a bus stop right there too. It wasn't hard to manouevre the bend and back in to our site(easy for me to say, I wasn't driving). But seriously, I know it wasn't bad because we're thinking of staying the exact same time frame that you are, except 2006. Have a great time!

While a lot of folks worry about making a special request, we have always just gone with what FW assigned. As long as your reservation is noted with the size of your C and the fact of any slide outs or awnings you should be fine.

We have the same size RV and have never had a problem we like loop 800, I would encourage you to bring bikes, the Fort is a big place, and bikes are really nice to have there.....
