Loop 2100?

Does anyone know if loop 2100 is pop-up or full hookup as of December 2020? Touring Plans shows it as pop-up sites, but everywhere else I see it is full hookup. It seems that the other pop-up site loops are 1500 and 2000, so I just want to make sure I request the best loop!

It is a Full loop now. It was converted from a cabin loop a few years ago.

We stayed there with friends in 2019. I really liked the loop.

Well, back in the mid-70s it was built during the Fort expansion as a camping loop. Later it was converted to a cabin loop. Recently is was converted back to a camping Full level loop. You can certainly place a pop-up in that loop (I have one) but the rates for 2100 are Full loop rates.

No question about it.

PS - if you are booking a Tent/Popup loop, request 1500. You can thank me later.

What was the draw to the loop for you? I'm more of a boondock/state park kind of camper, so I was thinking 1800 or 1900 is what we want. However, since we're in Disney I imagine what I should be looking for is a nice compromise between being close to where the humans play and congregate as opposed to avoiding them as I usually do.

Jack,

I'm a SP/COE campground kind of person too. The 2100 loop felt more open compared to some of the other loops we have been in (Preferred and Premium), I think I would like the other Full loops for the same reason. I've considered booking a Full for our next trip, but I'm concerned I won't fit. The newish 5er is 42 ft and the truck another 23. When we were in the 2100 loop, we flew down and stayed with friends in their MH. It is only 38 ft and fit great.

Here's a pic of us walking in from the bus stop to meet them. My friends MH is straight ahead. Site 2107, I think. It was close to the CS and bus stop. We had a golf cart, but jumped on the Disney transportation half the time.

Thanks. We have similar set ups. As you are, I'm pretty confident I can stab the trailer wherever it needs to go.

I'm rolling the dice on full loops. The price is obviously a perk, but I'm also seeking that seclusion.

Good, bad, or indifferent we'll have a good trip report here eventually of my backing woes or blissful tranquility on a full loop.

I've towed very big things all over the country when racing. (48 ft gooseneck 2 car hauler). I'm not too worried about getting into a site. Feeling cramped or having to leave the truck somewhere because it isn't long enough are my biggest issue. The last several trips I've scoped out the Full loops 1600-1900. There are plenty of sites we will fit on and the loops are all navigable unless you have someone parked in the road. There are also a fair number that I wouldn't want to spend a week on. That's the gamble. Premiums are generally a better guaranteed fit for us. Although not always. We were at WDW when the Fort was closed after Irma. We were in line at the re-opening ceremony. They only had a few loops cleared and useable. I was put in 1400 loop. Not a favorite, but usually big enough sites to fit. Except for the one we were assigned.

First site on the left on the outer loop. I had the trailer pushed all the way back pushing tree branches. There wasn't enough room on the door side to get the awning all the way out without hitting a tree. Thankfully there was a wide apron at the front of the site and I had room to park the truck sideways and keep it out of the street. I didn't want to ask for another site since they just reopened and were trying to get as many people back to the Fort as they could. The 2100 loop (and many sites in the other Full loops) were a lot more open than this.

On the rigs, we're almost identical. I have a 48' gooseneck hauler too and a 41' 5er. We're almost twins, except you drive "brand x". 😄

Good point. I wasn't even thinking side to side with all the trees. I made a bad assumption on the mouse's tree trimming habits and such.

We're staying for 10 days, so while I wouldn't want to park the truck elsewhere, it wouldn't be the worst case scenario. We plan to bike, walk, Disney Transpo everywhere with all the free time plugged into the trip.

We loved site 2141. Easy to back into, doesn't back onto the road and great if you love to see the different rigs that pull in. Close to bus stop as well.

Was that from mid September? If so that's my red Nissan Frontier. I was in 2103, liked the loop a lot, much prefer the cabins pool to the main one and it's way closer too 2100.

That was!

The pic was on September 7th, 2019. It was a quick trip for us. We were there September 7-10th, 2019. Our friends, in their MH, were there for about 8 or 9 days.
