I can't take so many ride-a-thons...I will be crazy by the end of the month if all it is, is ride-a-thons! I can't dedicate my weekends to that!

I totally agree....yesterday was fun for about an hour then it was just monotonous. Plus, if someone can't make it for a day they have an incomplete ride? That stinks. At least we have this board to help with trades, I can't imagine being reliant on vmk solely for trading. That would make me NUTS! I don't mind if they are eventually going to sell all of these pieces, but if they are only going to make them available this way, ewww..

This morning I can get into VMK but I cannot get into any rooms. I tried to get into Ned's and the screen stayed black. So, I tried Main Street and the street comes up, but no character. Actually there was no one there. So, I closed and logged back in. Same thing, I could not get into Ned's just a black screen. So, I tried my room, and got in after a long pause. And then I had my character. I walked into my room, then everything froze. I could not move, so I logged off again.

Totally agree about the ride-a-thons!!!

I got 30 pieces on Saturday but on Sunday I just could not be bothered anymore, it was just not any fun, so I only got 19

now I have more ups than downs, is that a good thing???

It was DD's birthday Saturday and I was only able to get on for an hour in the a.m.

This weekend is my and DH's 10th Annivs so I won't be on Saturday and we are out of town to visit family on Sunday *sigh*

What track was given out on Saturday? That is the one I have more of, since yesterday I was riding for Two....

I did ok on the ride a thon... Over 60 of each.... worked out nicely. I jump in line... run and throw laundry in, Start the ride, fold some clothes, Jump back in line, gathered some trip stuff together, start the ride, pay bills, jump in line, fold socks, get on ride over and over again

ALL DAY! lol

Up side... I am almost finsihed packing for our big road trip on Weds. AND most of the clothes in the house are clean and put away! WOOT!

Slide-a-thons are as bad as quests in Pink's opinion! All weekend long, my friends list was full of "Not in any room"..... GR! I certainly hope they don't do this every weekend, but I have a feeling they will.... At least hanging out in the pool was fun!

I got more done around the house this weekend because of the darn ride a ton, I felt guilty... so I made sure If I had a minute instead of watching the countdown to enter, I would just find SOMETHING quick to do.

Here we are...back in everest month. People arguing over who's on who's team...friends are locked up in their rooms disallowing anyone to enter due to "secret stuff". Friends riding in the Ride...erm...Slide-a-thon and weekends are already penciled into our schedules as "vmk" lol.

Fun slide a thons are to be fun. Where did you read that. I thought it was a test of endurance. A test to see how much you hearted your friends that you would torture yourself for the pals who are away. So when they came back yo ucould share your loot. Wow where was I when this memo on fun came out.

Seriously though. I thought Sunday's event was the best run ever. The queues being longer made it easier for everyone. No major snags. Hats off to the staff at VMK I think they are actually gettting it now

LOL!! I too felt guilty for hanging around all day yesterday (we were only here a few hours on Saturday). So I also did chores between rides! But ooooh, when I came back to see my character standing there in the second room...what a waste of some precious time! Totally ruined my momentum.

I did something similiar but I attacked the piles of papers and other stuff sitting around the house and went on a throw away and sorting spree. The house looks a lot better now!

So, am I the only one that just sat on the couch with the laptop, husband, and the dog watching the Twilight Zone Marathon while riding on Sunday, trying to figure out when to get food? Okay, I'm a first-timer for a ride-a-thon (and only did Sunday)!

Well, I hope that their will not be any more slide-a-thons this month...because I will not have the time. I am leaving this weekend for our annual big summer trip and will be gone for three weeks! A lot of that time I will have no computer connection at all, and the other part of that time it will be a dial up connection, not DSL. I say just put the parts in the store so we can move on to something else. It's SUMMER, people have better things to do then sit in front of their computers all weekend! These type of events really should only be done in the winter, when the last thing you want to do is go outside!
