I'll probably be going to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for a conference in early October. I've never been there. Anything I should know?
I'll be staying at the Crowne Plaza on 2nd Street. I know it will probably be cold for me, 60's in the day, 40's at night. I probably will NOT have a car.
Can anyone tell me if there are shops and restaurants within walking distance of the Crowne Plaza? Is it an area where I can feel relatively safe walking in the early evenings? This really shouldn't be a factor for the most part because my conference includes some evening activities, but I might be on my own the first and last night.
My main interests are eating and shopping.
I noticed there's a VF Outlet Village in Reading, which according to MapQuest is an hour away. Would it be worth my time to go there?
Thanks in advance!
