DH called this morning to make a few changes to our ressie for Aug 28th. (just over 5 months out) he was able to switch everything with ease, add a night, add a room etc. At both VWL and BCV no issues and no wait list. So now we have 5 nights at VWL and 5 nights at BCV.

This is our favourite time to go to WDW and looks like others still haven't caught on ;)

Do you roast at this time? I'm NOT good with the heat, but would love to try this time of year...

We've been there twice during that time frame (it's our anniversary time and my birthday time) and we vowed NEVER to go then again! It's just too hot and humid for me! Plus, last time, it rained cats and dogs most of the time. No thanks, I'll stick to December and January.

Yes it is HOT. But I love it! You just have to pace yourself, lots of water, a/c breaks, shade and stay out late.

But the heat is so much more manageable with such low crowds.

i don't mind heat, and dh hates it.....
but he still enjoys early sept:thumbsup2
the crowds are low, it rains for about 30 minutes every afternoon (same as many other times of year :confused3), the crowds are low, temps are usually somewhere in the 90's, and the crowds are low ;) we just drink lots of water, keep a wet washcloth in a ziplock for quick cool downs, and pop into air-conditioning or go for a swim if we feel like cooling off.

we went to wdw once while it was chilly (late oct, and woke to temps in the low 30's) - never again! i need the feel of sunshine on my shoulders, swimming whenever we feel like it, and not wearing multiple layers of clothing. to each their own, but give us glorious floridian warmth over cold winter days (especially this past one:eek:) anytime :)

We also vowed NEVER to go in September AGAIN! September is just way too hot and humid for us! :firefight

We love Sept too. Unfortunately those darn kids start school late August, and I hate taking them out so early in the year. They really get in the way of my plans.;) The heat and low crowds are the best. Nothing like walking on Soarin' mid afternoon.

Shhhh!! Don't let our secret out!!! We just love our time in early September. Especially that Tuesday after Labor Day. We can do all of MK's attractions in 3 hrs that morning!! Love not having to deal with crowds and enjoy the heat and swimming at night!!!

Being from N/E Florida the heat & humidity are just another day in the sun for us. But alas, the school board is currently controling my life and travel plans. Once DD graduates in 2013, we'll back during September again.

September 1st is our Anniversary and I always wanted to take the kids down at this time. I've always wanted to but never had because of my fear that we would get a Hurricane during our stay. How do they affect the weather at WDW? Is this a time of year we should consider? Just bought DVC 4 days ago and would probably just to a resort style stay rather than parks. So far we have been unlucky with our 4 stays in the past 5 years. Had to wear winter coats and no real pool days to speak of. A little disappointing but we made the best of it. Would really love a "hot" stay to enjoy the pool.

Our anniversary is September 15th but we usually go in late summer and September is not much different weather-wise (hot, humid, tend to get afternoon t-storms). It is a much quieter time crowd wise, so to me it is a perfect time. We only went twice in September because we did not like to take our boys out of school. One year it was after labor day and they did not start until a day after we got back. Another year just dh & I went, but, it happened to be the year WDW ever closed because of hurricanes! UGH! By the time we were to head down, the weather in Orlando had improved, but here in MA we were having issues. It did put a damper on the trip, but we tried to make the best of it! We are thinking of heading down this September--to celebrate our 25th!!!!!!
