I was on the Inaugural, and snorkeled for most of my time there!
The beach was untouched aside from chairs and umbrellas, so there weren’t any statues or sunken ships around Lookout, but there was a LOT of marine life! We saw a big ray, a sea turtle, jellyfish, some coral and a lot of fish out there, which was surprising given it was kind of a cloudy, grey, windy day on the sixth day. You do still have to wear the vest like on Castaway, but bringing your own gear is definitely better.
If you want to see something a little farther out, and are willing to shell out extra, no pun intended, the Tropical Reef Safari Snorkel was a lot of fun, and we [the group] saw a lot more sea creatures out there [parrotfish, barracudas, etc]. Not to mention the boat ride was gorgeous! Only issue is if you book a midday excursion at Lookout [11am-1pm], you will end up missing lunch and have to get food onboard instead.
