Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

We will be at Lookout Cay in June. A couple of first timer questions:
1) Where along the beach are the best snorkeling spots (we are not booking the excursion)?
2) Do the seats behind the dunes have a clear view of the water?

No idea on snorkeling.

I mean you can see some water on the horizon over the dune depending on your particular seat and how tall you are- but the dunes are pretty high. The view on the beach itself is MUCH MUCH better.

1) from what I could see, you walk into the ocean and there's the spot. not being snarky, but I dont think anyone has identified a 'best' place...disney did NOT sanitize the ocean floor like they did at castaway... the fish tend to be where the rocks are..and you can see dark spots from the shore where the rocks in the water are. you might talk to a life guard.

2). No. the dunes are several feet high. the sand slopes down to the ocean. you will have no view of the water if sitting down. you can see the horizon if standing up, but unless you are tall not the ocean water line.

What ship are you on? We were on the Magic and was told it was sold out. We had no issue finding a beach chair on the ocean side. They were quite a few. However we walked down towards the cliffs. It was very crowded where the trams let you off. The rest of the beach was empty. Most beautiful beach I have ever seen. Did not snorkel as the wind was fairly high. Have a wonderful time.

The pictures I posted above were from our Magic visit in March. This was the middle of the day and whole sections of seats were empty. There is plenty of room- especially when the smaller ships visit.
