All of you are supposed to be Fort Lovers so therefore you would know that other parks are not the same. I would not do this if I had to park in overflow. I mentioned it would have to be the right situation like the person who contacted me that had 2 sites but only one vehicle. I am surprised all of the Fort regulars think it is okay for someone to use the pool there without being a paying overnight guest. I again never asked anyone for solutions and the ones offered have nothing to do with what I am looking for. I will post on another board as I am tired of this one, it is like talking to a brick wall. One person wants me to walk with my child on their bike all through Fort Wilderness and with my asthma I doubt I would live through it, another wants me to use the pool even though I will not be a paying guest which is totally unethical and another wants me to lug a cooler for a BBQ on a pavillion. This just irritates everyone, all I asked was for someone interested in sharing a site and then the details can be worked out with between us. Please moderator cancel this thread.

I am outraged by the way most of you are treating this lady she asked a simple question and all she got is a bunch of CRAP. What she is asking is not that unreasonable i put people on my reservation that are not of my family but are friends and they come with us every year and they pay half the site.I think most of you are putting way more into it then need be.I think what she is doing is trying not to break the rules and use the pools when she is not supposed to

I have never smoked, and was nothing but supportive, but I guess I'm part of the "none of you" that she hopes to never meet. Oh well. I was just happy someone asked a NEW question, I mean, a guy can only take so many "Should I rent a Cart" and "what's the best loop" questions!

Most of us were offering kind suggestions at first (except for the subletting part, that was crap). I would have GIVEN her and her daughter key cards so that she could be a resort guest, and then I offered suggestions as an alternative if the sharing didn't work out. Every suggestion given came back with a reason it wouldn't work and how it would be breaking the rules. Plus she didn't explain at first that all she really wanted to do is park a car at a site so her daughter could ride around in circles near the site while she grilled. She simply said she wanted to bike ride. Well since she is sharing a site only 1 car can be there, so that breaks the rules also or asks the main occupant of the site to put their car out at overflow.

The main crux of this whole thing is we don't know her and she doesn't know us. If she had participated on the group before popping this out, no problem!!! I guarantee if she hadn't had all these little restrictions (no smoking, no pets, no drinking, let me put my car there) than any one of this bunch would have said sure!!

We tried to be laid back about the whole thing, then rules started spouting out, so we spouted rules back and she didn't like it.

I hope she finds someone this will work out with.
