My wife and I are interested in renting some points for a 4 night stay in an SSR studio. (10/2/05 - 10/6/05). 4 nights at 11 points each for 44 points total. My wife and I are actually interested in buying some points down the road, but wanted to stay at a DVC resort first.
One apprehension we have is if we need to cancel due to one of our boys (Ages 2 & 4) becoming sick. (We're leaving them home with grandparents.) Obviously, cancelling is the last thing we'd want to do, but we'd like to know what would happen.
I've seen mention of the "Holding Account" when a reservation is canceled within the final 30 days prior to arrival date. Does the renter still have access to these points? Also, is there travel insurance that's available for a renter.
