Looking to buy add-on GFV direct

It has been over 10 years since I added on. I toured GF and loved it. I am looking to add on. I have an October use year currently. Does Disney still give you this year's points (for me it would be October 2013). So if I added 50 points, would I have access to book 150 points for a November 2014 right now (Oct 2013 banked to 2014 and borrowed 2015)?

Also, considering Aulani add on for the special of one time use point promo and developer discount.

Thoughts anyone?

Yes, DVC will give you 2013 points for October UY if you buy direct. And yes, you could bank plus borrow to turn a 50 point add on into a 150 point booking for eleven months from now.

As to the cost value of that versus other resorts resale, only you can decide. But direct is the way to go for VGF in the near term.

I would stay at VGF and go home. Read VGF reports and after a couple of months, buy if it still makes sense, call your guide, buy and have them make your reservation.

Aulani is a beautiful resort but for us, WDW resorts give you more. We also don't like the Disney policy of allowing local day users causing the pools to be overly crowded. It more of a one time destination.
