Looking into renting points question

I m looking into renting points from a DVC member. My question is: I know there are extra charges to pay when checking in, for towels? I think and maid service? Is this correct ? Are there any other charges we should be aware of?

The only extra charges would be if you wanted daily trash and towel service. You don't have to have it. DVC starts you off with towels and you have access to the free use of a washer/dryer. You get trash and towel service on your 4th day. You also have access to a location where you can throw your own trash away. Extra bags are in the room.

You should look at what you don't have to pay for. By renting you don't have to pay the 11% room tax. That alone makes renting a pretty good deal.

There are no other charges unless you would like additional towels or extra cleanings. You get towels for four as long as you tell them there are four in your room.

There are no mandatory extra charges. Only options like daily cleaning.

I am not positive about free washer and dryer being available if in a studio. In a one or two bedroom there is a washer and dryer in the room. Seems to me if you are in a studio you have to go to the laundry room and the machines were coin operated. Not sure though.

As far as towels. You do not have to use your room towels for the pool. They have nice big fluffy towels at pool side (no charge). So basically all you need your room towels for are drying yourself off after a nice warm shower or jacuzzi bath.

I agree with Happy Birthday Cat. That 11% is a killer. Make sure you factor that in to your math.

The laundry in a DVC facility is free. The washers and dryers look like they are coin-operated, but the slots are filled in. They are complimentary for those staying in the studios, but you have to buy your own detergent.
