Looking forward to a crowd-free Disney Trip! **Update 9/4**

The update you have all been waiting for! :lmao:

Notice the new ticker below! :thumbsup2

We found out about a month ago that I'm pregnant again! Even though it came as quite a shock to us, we are very excited!!! I really, really, really wanted to tell all of my DIS friends immediately but I knew it was best to wait. Then I decided to announce it towards the end of June -- you probably remembering reading a post that said "Someone else is joining us on our September Disney trip which has changed some of our plans" ?? Well, that someone is a baby inside my belly!! ;)

I then decided to hold off on the announcement because I had a little scare and had to go to the ER on June 22nd. After doing some tests and having an ob appt, my doctor decided to monitor things every 2 weeks via sonogram. I then decided to wait until I had more doctor appointments and at least one more sonogram before announcing it! I hope you can understand! I really, really wanted to share with all my DIS friends and I'm glad we are all able to celebrate it together now!!!

To those of you who were so wonderfully supportive, thank you for all of the thoughts & prayers!!! It truly means more than you will ever know!!!

And to those of you who didn't know until today, please do not feel left out -- you guys are all awesome & I wish I could've told everyone at once! :flower3:

I will share pictures but they are saved on the other computer so I'll have to upload them from there to my photo account & then add to DIS! My due date is February 1st and I will update you with information as I find out more!

I'll post another garden, baby, and Disney update very soon!!! :wizard:

So glad you decided to share the news!!

How did the last appointment go? Things looking better?

So glad you decided to share the news!!

How did the last appointment go? Things looking better?

I had my sonogram yesterday and I have an ob appointment on Monday. I'm planning to ask him more about what they'll do if the sac does not attach to the uterus wall. I've read up on it on medical websites & the info is all over the place! I'm not sure what to believe so I'm just going to ask my ob. Then he can tell me what he would do.

There is still fluid in between the sac and the uterus wall -- but it wasn't as easy to see as it was 2 weeks ago at the ER. So I'm assuming the amount of fluid has decreased. I watched her take measurements of the fluid so hopefully the doctor will share the info with me on Monday. I hate that I have to wait all weekend, but the sonogram tech told me that its extremely common. She said that she sees it all the time & she was shocked that he wants to monitor me every 2 weeks. She said that she honestly doesn't think its necessary.

I took Luke with me & she was talking to him about the baby. She would ask him if he wants a brother or a sister or if he's going to be my helper & take care of the baby. After she had an entire conversation with him about it, I asked her if she thinks everything will be ok since she's talking about the baby as if its already here! And she said that she honestly doesn't see ANY problems at all -- I had the same tech for my ER sonogram and yesterday's so she was very friendly & allowed me to ask questions. Sometimes they're picky & won't tell you anything because they want your ob to talk to you (since technically you are their patient & not the patient of the sonogram tech). But this girl was very nice & answered all questions I asked her.

As you can imagine, I am very relieved!!!! I feel like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders & I am thrilled to share this with everyone!!! Thank you for everything, Michelle!

I'm glad the scare is over. I loved the picture.

now I have to ask you...you use Nikon lenses on your Canon camera? How? i thought they weren't inter changable?

Oh honey congratulations, sorry to hear about the scare but so glad everything is going well now. I saw your photo on Facebook briefly but wasn't sure if it was you or not.

Congrats again, so happy for you

Congrats again Hope! I am soooooo happy that everything is okay. I wanted to text or email you so badly & see how everything was going, then I figured you'd make it known when you knew. So happy for you guys!

I am so glad everything turned out well!!! :goodvibes

On another note, it makes me really sad that your down to 68 days and I have 107. It doesn't seem possible! I'm super jealous!

I REALLY want to try the schoolbread. Everyone talks about it so much that I NEED to try it! But now with all this talk about Cloudberry Horns, I'm really torn! Good thing I have Luke with me -- he can get one & I can get the other and we'll share both!!! Sounds like a plan to me!

I had my first Cloudberry Horn last week. It was very good, although I'm partial to Schoolbread, if I had to choose between the two.
Plus, if you're paying OOP, it's half the price. ;)
One of each sounds like a plan, though! :thumbsup2 I am always up for trying new Disney foods - sweet or otherwise.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for a beautiful, healthy addition to your gardening crew. :goodvibes

I was just thinking Luke and the baby will be about as far apart as Maya and James. I think it's a great age span. Luke will be old enough to be involved, to understand and be a good helper. Yet he will still have a while to become great friends with his sibling before he heads off to school.
Glad the appointment last week went well. How did today go?

I'm going to buy a "Nikon D3000 for Dummies" or something like that... :lmao:

We have a Nikon D5000! I have no clue how to use any of the features and my eyes glaze over when I see that screen with the "data" on it!! Do they really have a book like that? If they do... I need one too!! I am only bringing my point and shoot for the AEP. Henry will bring the Nikon with him later in the week. If I tried to use it during the AEP I'd probably walk into a wall or off a pier!! :rotfl2:

So glad to hear that! I'm very excited for you!

I'm glad the scare is over. I loved the picture.

Congrats again, so happy for you

THANK YOU sooo much!!! We are super excited that things are ok too!

I actually had another appointment last week & it turns out my 2nd sonogram was normal! I wondered at my sonogram appt because the technician kept asking me why the ob was sending me every 2 weeks -- she said it was completely unnecessary as she sees this all the time. I explained to her how worried I was & explained the ER visit/blood/etc and she said that she's certain the doctor was only worried because of the blood & the clot. But since I don't have other symptoms & the bleeding stopped, the fluid is not a concern. She said they'll take another look around 14-16 weeks just to be on the safe side -- but as of now, its just a normal pregnancy! :goodvibes

Congrats again Hope! I am soooooo happy that everything is okay. I wanted to text or email you so badly & see how everything was going, then I figured you'd make it known when you knew. So happy for you guys!

Please do, Meg!!! I would LOVE a text or email from you!!! :goodvibes

I will forewarn you though -- I am super behind on everything! I wasn't online much over the 4th weekend and then this past weekend, we were rearranging furniture & the house to get more room in the nursery. We also bought Luke a brand new "big boy bed" so I've been cleaning like crazy in his room! If you text me, I will text you back immediately -- email I promise to get back to you within 2-3 days! ;)

I also apologize! I told you, Katie & Christine that I would email you again & let you know how things were going & I never did! I need to email you girls & show you my Babies R Us loot too! :lmao:

Ooooh I ordered an awesome "diaper bag" too! It won't be here for 7-12 days but I'll share pics once it arrives! I ordered it from the Vera sale I told you about! :thumbsup2 Also, thanks for checking into the outlet store for me, I appreciate that! I ended up ordering a larger tote that isn't an actual diaper bag, but some of the pockets are clear-plastic coated so it should be fine if I spill things inside it.

I am so glad everything turned out well!!!

On another note, it makes me really sad that your down to 68 days and I have 107. It doesn't seem possible! I'm super jealous!

I've been sitting here calculating your trip dates since you posted this! :lmao: It just doesn't seem that far away!

My trip is only 63 days as of today & I am soooo excited! That's basically like saying its only 2 months away!!! :goodvibes

I'm really looking forward to alot of things in between now & then so its really helping to pass the time!!! First this upcoming weekend is the Balloon show in our town. Its a little thing with about 20-30 hot air balloons but its sooo much fun! They have 4 launches all together and then the night glow. We went last year to the night glow & it wasn't that exciting. Its something that was fine to do once, but I wouldn't do it every year. We do go to the balloon launches though & we also "chase" the balloons! After a bunch of them leave, we follow the balloon chasers (that follow their own balloon to help them whenever they land). We've gotten really close to a few of them & one even landed across the road from our house one year!

Then in August, we have a few local fairs that we go to. In addition, I think I'm going to see Reba at the fair at the end of August in Ohio!!!! I don't have tickets yet but last time I checked, they weren't sold out. I'm not sure if we're taking Luke or not but I definitely do not want to pay $60 for a ticket for all three of us -- so we're still debating. We went to her concert last October so thats the only reason its not a huge deal if we don't go. Plus, we went to the fair over the 4th weekend & it was very hard for me to walk around all day. This pregnancy is killing me! It wasn't like this before -- I am never hungry but want to eat sooo bad, I'm constantly nautious, and I'm always tired. When I was pregnant with Luke, I loved every second of it, even when I was throwing up! :lmao: So this is strange for me! I did buy some "preggy pops" at Babies r Us yesterday and LOVED the Lavendar flavored one! I think I'll like all of the flavors except for the mint (yuck!) and they really do help the nautious feeling! I came home & ate an entire bowl of Alfredo noodles & actually was hungry later in the evening! Hopefully after the 1st trimester, I will feel better!

You and I can also follow along with the girls going to the AEP to pass the time until our trips!!! I'll have to post the link to their PTR here on my PTR. I am soooo excited to hear all about it! They are going to have so much fun and learn so much!!!

I'm also looking forward to mid-August. Sad to say, I think I actually found something to be MORE excited about than going to Disney!!! :lmao: I should find out if the baby is a boy or a girl sometime between August 15 & August 29th. It just depends on when he schedules my sonogram. I'm just excited to find out before our trip in September!!! Right now I plan on doing a Pooh theme for a boy and a butterfly & Pooh theme for a girl. I have some pics that I'll have to email to you. With the Pooh movie coming out this Friday, there is a TON of Pooh merchandise & clothing on the Disney website! I wish I knew right now what the baby is! I'm super excited!!!

I seriously almost cried last June when they were out of schoolbread!!! Everyone here LOVES it so much, I just really, really have to have it!!! I do think I'll try one of each!!! After all, I'm eating for two now, right? :lmao: :lmao:

Thank you for the thoughts & prayers!!! I really appreciate it alot! :goodvibes

And yes, I'm sure that Luke will teach his new little brother or sister how to garden next May/June :thumbsup2

That's neat that the baby & Luke will be the same age apart as Maya & James!!! Maybe I'll have to get some mommy tips from you! :thumbsup2

My nephew was 3 whenever my niece was born & he was always my big helper whenever I babysat both of them! Luke will be almost 4 and since he's helped with my niece before, I'm sure he'll want to help with his little brother or sister!!! He's been ok with things so far -- somedays he wants nothing to do with a baby & won't even talk about it. But the next day, we're at the store & he's throwing twenty things into my buggy telling me "these are for my baby" :lmao:

The baby will be born sometime at the end of January or beginning of February and Luke will begin school in September so that will definitely give him awhile to bond with the baby! :thumbsup2

We have a Nikon D5000! I have no clue how to use any of the features and my eyes glaze over when I see that screen with the "data" on it!! Do they really have a book like that? If they do... If I tried to use it during the AEP I'd probably walk into a wall or off a pier!! :rotfl2:

I need to share my photography websites with you too! There's a really, really good one that is basically much more thorough than an instruction manual! I'll look for it this afternoon and email the link to you and Nikki! And actually, now that we're talking about it, *I* need to visit that website & get some tips before my Disney trip! I meant to take my DSLR to the 4th of July fireworks show to "practice" for Hallowishes & Illuminations -- but it was soooo crowded, there was no way I was getting it out of the car! I took a video on my cell that's horrible quality & that's all I have for 4th pics!

Is Henry really good with the Nikon??? Maybe I need to get some tips from him. Ask him what settings he uses for the Disney fireworks & also for fast-moving rides/shows! *Thanks in advance* :thumbsup2

now I have to ask you...you use Nikon lenses on your Canon camera? How? i thought they weren't inter changable?

I don't -- I lied! Ok, I didn't intentionally lie! Blame it on being extremely tired or stressed or just not knowing what I'm talking about! :lmao: :lmao:

I actually do NOT have a Nikon lens -- oops! Although I am sure that you are able to use Canon lens on a Nikon camera -- but NOT the other way around. So yes, you are absolutely correct there! You can't use a Nikon lens on a Canon camera. I think that I was thinking of a conversation I had with a guy on the Vinylmation boards about him having Tamrac and Canon lenses for his Nikon D model.

However, I am going to double check into this because I hate it when I tell people incorrect information! I will let you know! :thumbsup2

Also, Jen, could you post the link to your AEP PTR here so people can follow it if they aren't already???

Tamron lenses are great if you have Nikon cameras, and they are usually a few hundred tollars cheaper than buying the "name" brand, so to speak. We're looking at a wide-angle lens right now, and the Tamron has a larger range and is about 250 less than the Nikon.

CONGRATS on the wonderful news, especially the update from the sonogram.... you will be in our thoughts and prayers!:goodvibes

Oh, girl, don't worry about not emailing us. I know things have been crazy for you. Do it whenever you can! And I have been meaning to ask you, are you doing a baby registry at some point? If so, will you send me the link?

I was soooo hoping there was a Vera Bradley outlet at that place we went to yesterday. I didn't end up buying anything since we didn't spend a ton of time there (had to go early for the horseback riding since it was soooo hot!), but I was tempted by a third pair of Reef Fannings in the Journeys outlet. :rolleyes1 Kailyn found a pair of shoes there, and Charles found a pair of sneakers at the Nike outlet that actually fit him really comfortably, considering his weird shoe size/width. That alone made it successful

Hi! So sorry I haven't been over to your report recently. I have been so busy and of course am behind on ALL of my subs! I hope to catch up today! I have been reading it, just haven't posted -- but I will I promise! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info on the Tamron. I'll pass it along. I have a Canon Xsi and purchased a zoom lens at the recommendation of another DISer so I don't have a need for another lens right now (plus I don't think I can put Tamron on Canon, right?)

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the thoughts & prayers! Its appreciated more than you know! :goodvibes

My next appointment is August 8th and I'm hoping to schedule a sonogram for mid-August to find out the gender of the baby & also to see the little guy/girl again! I was relieved to not have to schedule sonograms every 2 weeks -- it takes forever to sit at the hospital & wait for the test and the entire time, my nerves are just shot! But it was comforting to be able to see the baby & the heartbeat to know for sure things are ok. I'll feel better once I feel the little guy/girl moving around constantly!

Have you talked to Katie? LOL She was bored at work the other night & looked at my registry! :lmao:

Right now, I actually have a registry at Babies R Us, Target, and Walmart. The Walmart site is down constantly (not the regular site, just the registry portion) so I have to go back to the store to update that one. The Babies & Target registries I update just about once a week! Right now, since I'm not sure if Baby is a boy or girl, I have both boy & girl items on there. Once I find out the gender, some stuff will be deleted & some will be added! :thumbsup2

I'm slightly over-prepared at this point -- did you see my FB album with some of the Pooh stuff I've already purchased? I think a part of me starting freaking out because I gave away all of my baby/infant stuff to friends! I wasn't expecting to become pregnant again -- but am thrilled that I am! -- so I made the registries early as a reminder to myself of what all I need!

Luckily, I still have all of the "bigger items" like my high chair, stroller, infant bath tub, portable high chair (love that for family get-togethers!), etc. and my cousin gave my mom her infant car seat to get rid of -- so I just kept it! I also still have my crib & mattress -- we pass it around the family to all the kids & cousins! The only larger item I did purchase was a Pooh bouncer seat that I found on sale at Walmart! It was perfect & soo soft & matches my nursery theme!

I'll probably wait until mid-August after I know what the baby is for sure and then I will go to Babies & Target to update the registries at the store. I love how you can update online too though!! Its so convenient!

That's ok about the Vera outlet! They ended up having 2 big online sales right after I asked you about it! :thumbsup2

That's so funny that you say Charles has trouble finding shoes because my DH does as well!!!! I actually give up trying to find him anything -- I was tempted to try to buy him a pair of Sanuks as they are sooo super comfy but I decided against it! If he wants shoes, he can find them himself! Its just too much work! :lmao:

I really enjoyed seeing your pictures on FB of the different places you guys visited that week!!! :goodvibes

I am just now getting caught up! Whew, I had missed out while I was gone. I am so happy for you.

LOL! I should have PMed you while you were gone, Erika! There was so much drama going on around here, I was just super stressed and didn't think of it! I'm glad you caught up on all the news now that you're back! :thumbsup2

I'm heading over to your TR right now! Can't wait to read it!!!!!

I know I already told you, but congrats again! So happy for you!!!

Thanks again, Reese!!! :thumbsup2

Do you have a PTR or TR going on right now? I thought you did for your cruise -- but somehow it isn't in my sub list anymore! :sad2: I swear DIS eats my saved links!!! Could you PM me the link to it please?

Here is the link to the Travel Agent~ Agent Education Program...Pre Trip report that we are doing

I asked Jen to post the link here on my PTR so you could all follow! Its a good one for sure as some of my co-workers are going to Disney in less than 30 days for the AEP (Agent Education Program). They will be doing a ton of neat stuff & are kind enough to share it with all of us here on DIS!!! :thumbsup2

The agents going are Jen, Brook, Mindy, and Patty -- the rest of us were not able to go this time but hope to next year! We will definitely be following along with their joint PTR & TR and hope that you will too!!!
