a travel desk like this....

http://www.avon.com/1/1/2008-childrens-travel-desk-disney-princess-or-spiderman.html

but with Cars.

I swore I walked past one in the stores before Christmas. I remember thinking that I'd pick it up after we got thru Christmas. Didn't want to mix Christmas stuff up with our vacation stuff. And of course, the mind being what it is (or is not) these days :rolleyes1 I can't even remember which store it was that I swear I saw the travel desk at.

I spent 5 hours dragging the 2 yrd old in and out of stores in search of it today. Not to mention I've searched the web endlessly for the past couple of days and I've had absolutely no luck in finding the product. Was I dreaming? Has any one else seen such a product? If so, do you remember where you saw it at?

I'm hoping someone out there has a better memory than me! :worship:

Thanks!
Kris

I don't know about one with Cars on it, but I have seen that type of tray table before and what would concern me is that it would be positioned too far from the child. If he's in a booster, he might be tempted to lean out of the shoulder belt and that could be very dangerous in an accident. The Fisher Price Soft Travel Tray HERE I've seen mentioned as "cpst approved" because it's very lightweight, w/padding around it, it attaches to the sides of the child seat and doen't interfere w/the seat itself or the harness or seatbelt, and it also has a release buckle on the strap so you can attach it to the car seat but when the child needs to get out of the seat you don't have to take the desk all the way off, just unbuckle it. Just a thought...you could get some cute CARS stickers to put on it. Make it a fun thing by letting your child personalize it himself. :goodvibes

If that one looks too small, the Stars Kids Snack and Travel Tray HERE also looks like it would be safe to use.

hth!

Thanks! Both of those would work great accept we don't actually use it in the car. My kids get car sick when they look down doing activites / reading, etc. We have the princess one for my daughter and use it to pack craft / school activities in to take with us. We'll use it in the airport while waiting for the plane. On our down days at the condo if the weather isn't good enough to go swimming, etc. I'm hoping to find the one I spoke about because it has the wipe board built in, yet is not overly big. My 5 yr old loves getting to carry hers. It's small enough that with a *little* help the 2 yr old will think he's carrying his just like his big sis. ;)

Bump.

Hoping someone has seen one of these and can point me in the right direction.......

I pm'd you. I think I found it. :goodvibes I sent you the link in the pm.

I'm sorry your little guy gets car sick. That's tough. This does look great for traveling on the plane and using in the hotel room. I feel like duh! why didn't I think of that. LOL

Thank you!

My mom actually bought the princess one for our daughter, maybe 2 years ago. We take it every time we go up to their condo. It's the perfect size. Not to big, not to small. It's nice, I just keep it packed and by the back door. If I have to take the kids with my to an appointment or when we go to my grandma's I simply grab it on our way out the door and I always know I have stuff in it to help pass the time some what *quietly* with the kids.

The 2 year old is getting big enough now though that he wants to carry his own. Thank you again for finding it!
