looking for wilderness and beach club room requests

i will be staying in a 2br at the villas at wilderness and at the beach club villas. we are members, have stayed at wilderness once before, never at the beach club. looking for a good view. is pool view the best? last time at wilderness, we had a room that had a view of trees with the lake on the other side.

what do all of you request? has to be a no smoking area.

We usually list "non smoking" and "close to lobby if possible." The hiking is hard on my parents. If they are not with us, I ask for "quiet pool view" at BCV. This means you face the front side of the resort, not the back. While some back views are great, many face the crummy service road "highway." If you ask for quiet pool you are away from that road.

are there any views to avoid at wilderness? can you see the road from the villas that look towards the entrance road, or do the trees pretty much block the view/noise? any pictures?

The views toward the "back" of the Villas are of woods and sometimes a glimpse of quiet pool or the lake. The views toward the front look at the path and woods in front of the Villas. The building twists and turns a bit so this is just a general statement.

My family was in 2212 (2012?) which is a low numer -- the "12" at the end is the room number. Lower numbers are closer to the lobby, and we were on the 2nd floor. I believe 60 or 62 is the last room at the far end. We loved the view -- we looked out at the Topiary Mickey at the entrance to the Villas. We people-watched off the balcony. I imagine that the rooms higher above us COULD see the parking lot, but it is way out front and you would certainly see a lot of trees and flowers too.

Whenever we have checked into the Villas, the CM has shown us on the map where the room is, so you will have an idea.

Yes, no smoking is always my first request. My Mom has asthma. Just a warning, though, our balcony was surrounded by smokers on their balconies! I actually wrote and complained after we got home. Somehow they need to group the smoing rooms together better... It seemed every time I went outside, I would have to come in because the people one floor below me, on either side, were chimneys! One of my biggest gripes with Disney -- my only real gripe -- is that they are way behind the times in terms of separating smokers/non-smokers. The two groups need their own areas!
