Looking for VMK Buddies

Hi all! I am new to the VMK as of this week...I love it! I have so many questions, though, an would love to make some friends for the game, too. I was hopig to find a home here on your boards because you all seem so nice (and game savvy!)

For starters, why do I always see ### in chats when you can't type the pound sign? I have a hard time deciphering messages from other people & typing responses. Help!

the #### is what VMK puts in when it does not recognize the word you are typing. the dictionary will not allw whatever the word is so it puts the numbers symbols in.....I'd love to add a new friend to my list so if we ever get back in, let's meet up!

First off...Welcome to the Dis boards....

second...make sure you add dis to your signiture so you dont get booted...I know in my room if you dont have Dis or I dont recognize you I put the mighty boot on...Sounds mean, but I try to make room for all the dis...

third...Game savvy?......Us...no we are just addicts....we have big problem you see...we dont know what the real world is...to us the world is surrounded by words we can not type, Be's dictionary, Hagens bubble...and my room which is under investigation by the VMK Feds....

fourth...stop by the surf spot some times...lol

Thanks to everyone who replied...I will look for you guys in vmk. Chickysmom...I get the number sign thing now; thanks! But when I type in a message and it flags something red, it won't let me send the message at all. I am confused. Anyhow...I'm heading there right now (to my "pretend" world, as my husband is already calling it. ) I'll be heading to the real thing in a couple of weeks for Halloween...any tips on the quests?

when the text turns red you can still send the message if you hit the enter button twice, the red text just turns to the nuber signs.....if you are on now, let's meet up! I'll wait for a bit in the Town Square south by the coffins...

I am soooo addicted! Sorry I didn't meet any of you tonight! Maybe this weekend. I know I'll be trying the maze thing. If I meet someone in vmk how can I tell them about DIS? It won't let me type it, and I think this is a really cool site for people looking for friends or good info about the game (or just other people who will probably need a 12 step program someday to recover from vmk!)
