Looking for the D300S

I've had a D60 for over 3 years and I'm looking to upgrade but every time I check it's out of stock. Is it extremely popular or being discontinued?

Pretty much all of nikon high end cameras are hard to find these days. This is due to the flooding in thailand last summer/fall. These factories made the high end parts for nikon lenses and cameras. They are just now starting to catch up on backorders. As for the D300s, nikon is coming out with the D4, so this might be in production instead.

Looks like I'll just be picking up some new glass then until I can get my hands on it! Off to research.

The Nikon D300s was recently discontinued.
