Is there nothing out there?

Does special stuff happen in the park this day or its just opened 6am til 6am?

Are all the rides opened the entire time? Or will it be treated like EMH ?

• Only select attractions, entertainment and services will be available.

Will there be special character meets?

I want to know this too but I think we just have very little info at this point. They used characters to announce it, so hopefully there will be special character meets but who really knows

Any information from the event last year?

I have no idea what it was called or I would google it.

I am knocking myself out thinking I want to go there

But if the only thing that is happeningis 24 hours... i wont knock me out no longer--LOL

We did it last year and had a great time.

Someone posted info from the last 24 hour day a few days ago.

At some point some of the rides were down for maintenance for a few hours and not all of the food places were open all night.

I'm hoping for special characters. We changed our dates so we'll arrive late afternoon on the 23rd to go to this.

VERy nice read. Gave me the opportunity to set expectations.
Since we are going with an 8 year old and a 1 year old-- staying for the entire 24 hours will not be an option.

But being there at 6am is a most. I see you drove so you cant help me there-- but I wonder what the bus situation will be at Pop at 5am?

I am also wondering to budget for a taxi instead

Really trying to think about logistics for us too....

I would love to know other's feedback.

I enjoyed your Trip Report! Based on your experience last year, should we use our FP+ in the afternoon before our break, or schedule them for later in the night (9pm & later)?

Looking forward to this as well. My Ds and I are going to try the ultimate MK touring plan that day, so I've been waiting for attraction and entertainment times to be updated.

The official website shows operating time for most rides to be 9 am - 1 am that day, but I'm sure that will be updated as we get closer.

I, for one, WILL be staying 24-hours without a doubt. Can't wait!

We were also at the Pop last year, in the 60's section and there was nobody walking around when we left that morning. My husband actually tried to get into the food court for coffee but it was still closed. He didn't see anyone either.

Unfortunately I didn't look back at the bus que when we drove out, so I can't tell you if it was crowded - and since we didn't need to know what time it started, I never checked on the bussing schedule.

I went back to view my other blurred shots of our drive over to the Magic Kingdom.

We left the Pop at 5:02 am

Here are the only 2 photos clear enough to post.

5:06 am. No traffic.
Merging onto World Drive - the main hwy to the Magic Kingdom.

5:09 am - approaching the MK entrance.
Notice there are No Busses on the far right.

From these shots it looks like we may have been ahead of the resort busses.
And we entered the MK gates from the monorail station on the left side which wasn't crowded at all when we walked up.

So if you are looking for a quiet arrival to start to your day, similar to ours, a cab to the monorail station might be the better way to go.

It depends on which 3 you choose. Tomorrowland was empty most of the morning. The New Fantasyland was generating the most activity.

The e-tickets went from crowded in the afternoon similar to a heavy MK day to insane as the night progressed. A lot of young adults showed up at that time.

We were in Liberty Square and Frontierland in the afternoon and the Haunted Mansion, BTMRR and Splash had long lines with 50+ min wait times.

I'd personally balance the FP+. Maybe 1 in the afternoon / 2 at night. or vice versa.

Hope you get good choices!! 7 dwarves Mine Train???

i am hoping for Mine Train too.
Based on last years reviews I will save my FP for later in the day as we could probably ht most stuff with minimal wait til about lunch time.

We are leaving the park about 1pm (1 8 year old and 1 infant) so we can come back at night til about 1am.

I was hoping that more characters would be out since it is advertised as a heros / villian type of event

I see you visited Mickey on Main street first-- my touring plan is telling me to allow 35 minutes... did it take you that long to do Mickey?

It took us no time at all!
But we were first in the park and first in line to see Mickey.
Plus this was a special event.

According to my camera - here is a recap of our first 20 minutes:

5:59 am - let into the park.
6:00 am - walking up the steps of the entrance first in line to see Mickey.
(this was after being 2nd in line at the starting gate and cutting completely across Town Square from the left park entryway)

Somehow we were the only three moving in this direction.

6:05 - Mickey arrives We had to patiently wait 5 minutes for him to appear.
There were about 6-8 families in the little room waiting behind us at that point.

6:06 - we were done.

6:08 - we were 3rd or 4th in line for the princesses
6:19 - we took our first photo with Rapunzel.
6:21 - we took our last photo with Cinderella

(which are no longer at this location - so I’ll be curious to see if they have any characters there – heroes maybe?)

Plus, we were 3 adults who had never done this.
So we just said hello and hugged or shook hands.
I'm sure others are taking a bit longer.

Minnie joined Mickey late at night and they were both in pajamas.
I don't know exactly what time, but it's after she finished up at Pete's Silly Sideshow at 11pm.

Tinker Bell is moving into the location in Town Square Theater where the Princesses used to meet. It is also rumored she will be meeting alone there (losing the Fairy Friend she currently meets with in Adventureland.) But she will be put on the FP+ system.

We plan to be at the Pop busses at 5am too! I'm hoping getting there is smooth sailing!

I saw that there were rules posted about camping out at the gate/entrance of Disneyland. Should we expected that at MK, too? I hope not...I'm really hoping to get a full night of sleep at Pop Century, get on a bus about 5:00 and head over to MK. Anyone else think camping out is necessary at MK for the 24 hour party?
