As DVC members, my family and I have enjoyed many trips to WDW over the years. We have done all the standards - character dining, autograph books, BBB - so I am looking for something "new". Any ideas for a trip in August for my DD (12), DD (12), and DD (5)?

Have you done:

DisneyQuest
Cirque du Soliel
mini-golf
Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon

With a lot of daughters, have you done the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian?

There's a new bowling alley at DTD that looks fun.

This was just announced within the past week (although the rumors have been out there for a while):

A Pirate's Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas

It looks like a lot of fun and would be a very different way to spend an afternoon at the MK.

Will the little one be 5 on the trip? If she has a birthday between now and then I'd highly suggest spending a day at Discovery Cove, it's not Disney but it's amazing.

Pressed pennies
Sorcerors of Magic Kingdom
hidden mickey searches
tours
Have you checked out all the WP&M options (DQ, water parks)?
mini golf
explore the Boardwalk

Even with all of the trips we've taken, there are still things in the parks that we haven't explored. Have you taken time to explore Discovery Island at AK or Tom Sawyer's Island at MK or Innoventions or the tanks in the Seas at Epcot? Have you done animation classes at DHS? Have you seen all the shows in the World Showcase in Epcot? Have you ever snacked around the world at Epcot? Have you done a character trip where you focus on getting as many character autographs as you can? Are there restaurants you haven't tried? Have you explored all the deluxe resorts? There are so many things to see around WDW and I've never met anybody who has seen them all.

I highly recommend the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage. Worth every penny. :goodvibes

We did Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom and had a blast. When we came home, boys worked on organizing their cards so they will have them ready for the next trip.
We are the same way-dvc members, go every year, so always looking for new ideas.

What about the Polynesian luau or Hoedown at the campground. Or maybe one of the tours.

You guys are awesome! There are already so many new ideas for us - I knew I was asking the right group. Now it's just about deciding what we want to do.

Question about the water parks - do you think they will be crazy busy at the end of August? And is there enough for my little one to do? We haven't gone in the past few years since one is usually closed when we go (November)

Splitsville in DTD

We didn't get a chance to go on our last trip but it sounds fun. Hopefully we make it on our next trip. The dis podcast team made it sound fun.

We are DVC Members as well and have gone every each since 2008 (& twice in 2012:) We add one thing different each year to make it different. Some things we have done are

Sea World, Discovery Cove (my favorite & woth every penny!), Aquatica, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, Seas Aqua Tours at Epcot, Movie at Downtown Disney, Disney Quest, Mini-Golf, Hoop Dee Doo Review, Stayed at the Nickelodeon Hotel 1 night, Wishes Dessert Party, Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum, Gator Land, Pirate Dinner Show, prob more I can't think of. This year we're doing a few days at Universal then Disney.

I also have to say my boys (13 & 10) are just as happy to mini golf than us spend a ton of money on something expensive.

We also mix it up by doing split stays. We stay about 12 days so it's not so bad to re-pack ;) They seem to like trying out new hotels. We usually end at AKL b/c it's our favorite. We try to do a Family Meeting before we book to see what their ideas of where to stay & their thoughts on something different. Funny enough, it tends to be the same things every few years.
