Hi - We just got back but while we were there I saw a TON of people - men, women and children - wearing shoes that my MIL loved. I thought I might get them for her for C'mas if you guys can help me out :)

They looked like rubber gardening clogs with a slingback strap. People had them in all sorts of colors - rede, pink, purple, lime green, white, taupe, etc...

Can anyone tell me the brand/name/etc...?

TIA! :goodvibes

They're called "CROCS" and I've seen them at Dick's sporting goods or online.

Alot of people on this site LOVE them.

I think they look a little goofy. (just my opinion, my DD(10) wants them bad!)

Yup. My DW and 2x DD's love them..

They're called Crocs. I'm not sure where they got them, it's possible
that they got them online.. I think they got theirs for about $30.00 US.

They all swear by them, and indeed have taken them to WDW, especially
at the AK -remember you need shoes on Kali River Rapids now.

Hope this helps!

John

They dont look all that comfy if you ask me... What do i know though i still have my sneakers from a few years ago because i cant find another pair thats like them. The duct tape that they are wrapped in will make them last another 4 years anyway....

LOVE my Crocs!!! I have two pair, dh has a pair and dd is on her second pair (her feet grew!!). We got ours on-line, at Bobs and at Filenes here in Mass. They are incredibly comfy. I know they don't look like they would be, but they are. I have very high arches and knee/back issues. I only wear my Crocs now when at WDW. My feet do not sweat in them, they give terrific traction and are wonderful in both rain storms and on Kali!!!!

you said you have arch and back problems... as do i... do they help that at all?

are they rubber?

The company that started selling Crocs started out of Boulder. They are everywhere here in Colorado. My DDs have asked but we haven't looked at them yet.

If you have a Dillard's near you, they also carry them.

I just saw crocs a week ago in Halmark. A weird place I know, but they had a sign up that said "the crocs are finally in!" They only had white though.

YES, CROCS!!! DD and I both have some...she has the traditional style and I have the Niles, a sandal style. VERY comfortable, and NOT RUBBER. The material is a patented material that does not make your feet sweat. They are awesome!!!

crocs shoes have changed my life!! I have had lots of feet problems and when i wear my crocs I have no problems at all!!

They are the most comfy pair of shoesIve ever worn in my life..
my testimony is that I bought one pair in black and now I have:
2 pairs in black, 1 pair in white, blue, purple, pink, fuschia, lime green, blue..
need I say any more!

saw the crocs today at my local hallmark as well, many colors. I have them, not as comfy for me as I thought they'd be, but also got the Nile version (sandals) and they're pretty great!
In the regular version my big toes hit the front of the shoe, though they're plenty large enough, almost too large, pretty wide too, my foot seems to slide forward.

I know that PayLess has knock-offs of the Crocs for about $15. Anybody know how they compare?

Last weekend at WDW, I saw a boy about 7 or 8 years old in bright red Crocs! I hear nothing but great reports about the comfort of them, I just wish they looked a little less clunky!

The ones at Payless are not nearly as good, probably because they can't use the patented material CROCS uses. They are wonderful if a little different! Funny thing, my son wears them to his school and was made fun of for wearing them. Now I see so many other kids wearing them too, including one of the boys that kept making fun of them when my son first got them. I go by what doctors and nurses wear and when my stepdad was in the hospital recently at least half the staff was sporting them. You can indeed find them at many Hallmark stores now and many malls have little kiosks selling them. I am wearing mine right now and will certainly wear them next week at WDW!

Where's a good place on line to shop? Do they run big or small? What about kids sizes?

Thanks!

I have red, white and black and if I could get away with wearing them with my dress on Sunday to church, I would.

Online, www.crocs.com is probably the place to buy them. I bought mine at Dillards and a local vendor. Our Sun Harvest grocery store carries them as well as a new sporting goods store, Outdoor Sportsman (I think the name is). Also, Cabelas store and Whole Earth Provision company.

They are the most comfortable shoes I own. Last year I would have said my Mephisto sandals were it, but not anymore. I have worn the treads off the white ones.

They are ugly shoes, but I don't care. Hope you get you a pair. CindyML

I bought my Crocs about 3 weeks ago at Hallmark for $29.95. They had so many different colors. I have all kinds of foot problems and usually wear expensive shoes so I wasn't very optimistic about these.

Boy was I wrong! I love them.

I had a podiatrist appointment today and took them with me. I figured he would not like them at all. Turned out he was impressed by them and had his nurse add them to the sheet of shoes that he suggests to patients.
