How will these fit our goal - just DH and myself

Sun - Coral Reef

Mon - Naroossee

Tues - CA Grill

Wed - Flying FIsh

Thur - Yachtsman

also considering Jiko and Tutto Italia

Any and all suggestions are appreciated - trying to make this the best we can - we are at the BWV

I think Coral Reef is one of the least romantic places in all of the World as it can be incredibly noisy and service is hit/miss.

The others are all good. Are you on the dining plan? If not you might want to add bluezoo at the Dolphin and Bistro de Paris upstairs in France. Both of these tend to be much quieter than those on the dining plan.

I've eaten at all of the places on your lists and they all have great food.

Hubby and I make romance where we are...

With that being said.
Tutto...tables are close, food/servers are fantastic.
Flying Fish, smaller resturant fantastic food.

I would consider Blue Zoo and IL Mulino.

CA Grill, very bright, but excellent food and service, haven't been since new chef..not sure if he has taken full control yet.

Yachtsman..wouldn't eat there if someone paid for our meal. Horrible steaks and service..definately not romantic..very irratating place to eat.

Jiko..lots of changes there lately, they are working out kinks but will hopefully turn back into its wonderful old self soon.

Le Bistro in EPCOT...wonderful, don't plan anything else for the evening type of place. Great food/service..plan a good 3 hours or more for your meal.

V&A's...also you could consider this romantic..we just go for the food as the acoustics in main dining room drive us crazy.

For romantic I would ditch Coral Reef and add Bistro de Paris.

Also, Il Mulino is more adult than Flying Fish but that might be a seafood over Italian issue.

Tutto Italiano is great but not romantic. I'd definately take Il Mulino over Tutto for romance and adult if you want Italian food.

Agree with almost everything said thus far. Coral reef is nice enough, but not terribly romantic. Il Mulino would be more romantic than Tutto, mostly because of those close tables.
And tho Webray isn't a fan of Yachtsman:) we've usually done pretty well there. You could substitute Citrico's however--very adult friendly by WDW standards.

We had a wonderfully romantic meal at the Yachtsmans last month. We have eaten there twice and had good experiences both times.
This past visit was exceptional. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding and the dining room had a more adult feel than say the California Grill. CG is my fav of all but you will have lots of families dining there and it does get noisy.

Our meal at the Yachstmans was perfect and I will be booking again for August.

I am also looking for 1 or 2 more adult places to dine as my MIL will be at WDW at the same time as us and has offered to have the children on a couple of evenings. So we also want some romantic meals on our own.
At the moment I am considering Citricos or Narcoossees.:goodvibes

Narc's can be VERY romantic.
I took the wife there on our aniversary
MK/lagoon view, champagne, candlelight = lucky BayouMickey!

Cal Grill is a great restaurant, but it gets lots of families with kids and, as a result, is a pretty loud and boisterous place (for a signature restaurant). As a result, I would not really put it in the "romantic" category.

Jiko and Yachtsman are great restaurants, with generally lovely (quiet) ambience, so those would fit the bill. I'd also put Citricos, Il Mulino and Shula's in that category.

I think Bistro de Paris (the restaurant upstairs in France) is hands down the most romantic restaurant in Epcot, and one of the most romantic in WDW.

Love Cali Grill, but don't think of it at particularly romantic. Too noisy and crowded...

Love Jiko, and would think it fits the bill nicely.

Love the views at Coral Reef, not the food. It is DS's absolute favorite, so we do it a lot, but I don't think of it as romantic. (Unlike some others, I do think it is worth doing, just for the tank.)

Haven't been to your other choices. I've also heard good things about Artist Point, but haven't tried it yet. (Trying it next trip.)

How will these fit our goal - just DH and myself

Sun - Coral Reef
. . . much too noisy for romance

Mon - Naroossee
. . . good food, and on a slow night can be romantic

Tues - CA Grill
. . . too crowded for romance
. . . frequently very noisy

Wed - Flying FIsh
. . . should be OK

Thur - Yachtsman
. . . food quality is inconsistent
. . . on a good food night, very nice - on a bad food night, ugly

I would recommend
. . . Shula's, (Dolphin)
. . . Bistro de Paris (Epcot, France, upstairs)
. . . Victoria & Albert's (GF)
. . . Citrico's (GF)
. . . Todd English Blue Zoo (Dolphin)

Thanks for all the suggestions - I have only been to the Flying Fish before and am trying to add some more adult choices as this is one of the first adult only trips - any other suggestions would be great.

California Grill is VERY loud with lots of buzz and activity, you can hardly hear the person you are sitting with talking. I love that restaurant but I would not consider it romantic because of the noise level.

Ok so we dropped Coral Reef and picked up Italy and now am looking into switching CA Grill

What would you suggest

Yachtsman..wouldn't eat there if someone paid for our meal. Horrible steaks and service..definately not romantic..very irratating place to eat.

I couldn't agree more. We had such issues with this place in Aug'08. Rude manager and hostess! Food was mediocre. Pass on this one IMO!

Nix on Narcoossee's for reasons I posted on my site.
California Grill is a tad noisy, but that shouldn't mean the death of romance. Shula's is good -- and they generally try to keep the families in a separate room (why people would wheel carriages into a restaurant like that is beyond me).

Victoria & Albert's is about as romantic as you can get -- there's even a harpist to play "your song."

Tokyo Dining is very nice. If you are willing to wait for a table by the window, you can have a very nice view of the World Showcase and Illuminations if you time it right. It is not overly noisy and most people with kids seem to eat at Tepan Edo since its interactive and kids love that type of thing.

Marrakesh is nice, they have music and a belly dancer.

California Grill is nice, but so noisy, I would never want to eat there with anyone I wanted to converse with.

We love Yachtsmen and if you go a bit late, its generally not that crowded. A lot of people go there and want to get back into Epcot by Illuminations time. We ate there in June around 8:30, wonderful food, wonderful service and a very quiet atmosphere.

Have fun, what a nice time you will have!

My favorite romantic places are:

Bistro de Paris - pretty place. Better food than downstairs and really quiet.

Yachtsman - Go late and the service is much better. Our food has always been really good here.

Jiko - worried about the new chef, but it has long been my favorite restaurant. The African wine list is outstanding, and most of the servers are somelliers.

Cali Grill - noisy, yes. But the chef from Jiko is now there. He is really great.

We loved Artist Point! We also had a very nice time at California Grill and fell inlove with Narcoosie's. Not so much on Tutto ITalia. I think it all depends on timing and frame of mind!
Have fun.
