Looking for rides to keep cool at MK

The People Mover is outdoors with some dips into SpMtn but we find it to be cool, relaxing and a great break.

People complain bitterly all the time about the fact that Disney has implemented a practice at QS locations of holding guests at QSfrom sitting at tables until all the family is together with their food. These are the reasons why they do it.

Chilling in a QS restaurant is a great place to soak up the AC. When we had little ones in strollers, this worked out great when they were napping in the stroller. DH and I would grab a cool drink a find a corner table and rest our weary feet.

Special spots: Snag a table in Pinocchio's Village Haus overlooking It's a Small World! Spread a little magic and wave at the people on the boats! Grab a seat in Gaston's Tavern and enjoy a LaFou's brew. It is so refreshing on a hot day! Find a seat upstairs in Columbia Harbour House. Last but not least, find a cool spot in Pecos Bill's!

Happy Planning!

Not sure what you mean. We always went through the line ordered a drink or maybe a drink and some fries and then found a table to sit together.

There are always the shops ;)

But instead of trying to kill time keeping cool, why not go back to the Poly and jump in the pool??

Love the people mover. While we were at WDW in October it was a little warmer than usual and it was our go to ride/attraction to relax and cool off.

we will stay at AKL, not Poly. Just want to have dinner at Ohana. I thought we are not allowed to go to the pool unless we stay there. its a hike from AKL to Poly, so I just want to stay at MK thus i need this list of coolng spots.

Looking for indoor rides at MK with no to little wait time so my family and I can keep cool and stay in the park until 3-ish, then we will go to Poly to have our early dinner at 3:45pm.

So far I can think of these rides... Please let me know if there is any other rides that can be added to the list, or if any of these actually would need a FP+:

- Country Bear Jamboree.
- Philharmonic
- Monster Inc Laughing floor
- PhilharMagic <------------ Do I need FP+ for this??
- Hall of Presidents
- Tiki Room (I probably would nap in there...)

Also have read about the Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station by Dumbo... How wet will it get you??

Thank you for helping!!!

Our favorite 'rest' ride is Tomorrowland Transit Authority. It is indoor and outdoor, but we always feel cooled down when we ride it and the outdoor parts are covered and out of the sun, it lasts a fair amount of time and it's a great place to sit and relax (and we always take off our shoes for a while as well).

My apologies, I misunderstood.

You're right, you can't use the Poly pool if you're staying at AKL.

And for what it's worth, I'm a teacher married to a teacher with 3 students in the family; we only go to WDW over the summer. And, yes, it's hot. But we're there for rope drop every day, we tour like crazy till lunch time, then we leave the parks for a few hours for a swim and/or nap. By that time, the parks are crowded, everyone is cranky, and it's time for a break. We return at dinner time, and enjoy some far more relaxed touring. The heat isn't a huge issue that way.

And I'm not sure whether anyone has mentioned it, but there's a Splash and Soak area in Fantasyland if you don't mind getting wet: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/magic-kingdom/casey-jr-splash-n-soak-station/
