Looking for Reviews on Poly Poolside Patios

We rented one 7/3. We arrived about an hour after our full day reservation began (we had our only pandora fastpass over our two week trip that morning.) There was a family in the patio next to us. Mid day came and went and they were still there. We assumed they were also full day-er's as the family on the other side had packed and left and staff reset for the next family.

15 minutes later a family with a special needs son came and couldn't find their patio. Turns out, we were the only full day rental. The other family just stayed. When asked to move they didn't want to, made a fuss and thought because the other family hadn't shown up they could stay. Mind you the other family was only about 15 minutes past the start of their time.

We offered the family to join us until theirs was reset. And as a special education teacher, I couldn't help myself. They sat with us until theirs was ready. Their son had a blast and it was heartwarming to see him so happy. They eventually got to their patio...in time for a thunderstorm. :crazy2:

But I also saw a woman refuse to move from one later in the week. We were on our way out and never saw how that was resolved.


Are CMs not on hand to make sure the patios are cleared out when the reservation ends?

That family is us, this is my son in the photo. I cannot tell you how much your kindness meant to us he definitely did not understand what was going on. I'm sitting here at a Barnes and Knoble with my daughter and son and she and I are in tears thinking about it. You are a special lady and when others were kind of just staring you took action and we will never forget you.

Just a follow up to anyone thinking of renting, my daughter did this as a gift to my son knowing it would be a busy hot week. She got up and made all the reservations herself and printed out all the confirmation numbers and times we had a cabana booked. We wanted to make sure of the rules so went on our first day to the marina and spoke to a nice gentleman there who assured us we were all set.

Apparently this family had decided they wanted a cabana and convinced the gal on cabana duty that day they had rented one. We actually had had a full day booked so this family def was not supposed to be there. I won't go into the rest of it but it did start to rain we enjoyed the covered grill area (@GADisneyDad14 we loved that area especially in the rain) and were able to enjoy the cabana later on.

For anyone thinking of renting you will get a refund if it's raining the majority of the time your cabana is booked at least we did and when my daughter went to follow up about what had happened that day they immediately gave a full refund no questions asked when they heard her name.
