Sand and ccmystic16, thanks for your advice. I am really inspired to try something digital after seeing Natalie's Lilo and Stitch layout. I'll need to look into some free tutorials to see how to use one of these kits.

I just had a thought, since Natalie saves her kits in .jpeg and .png. You can play with a kit in Word. I just tried to change the margins (in Word) to 12x12 and it reminded me I was out of the printable area (8.5x11), pressed ignore and was able to insert both jpeg and png. Check your text wrapping to make it easier to layer and move things around so you can get a feel for digital. You can pretend you are making a brag book size which would probably be easier, set your margins to 6x4, 5x7 or 8x8, then you can also print it but you won't have the resolution. This will give you the general idea of how to layer and position your layouts the way you want them. Your are correct by doing some research ahead of time to see if this is something that you would want to. Use your favorite search engine to search free digital scrapbook (or scrapbooking) tutorials. There are hundreds! :thumbsup2 Just googled it and scrap girls.com came up. They are very informative. Hope this helps!

OK Natalie got to get to bed BUT I had to finish my layout. I took your kit and recolored and modified it for Christmas and then scraplifted your layout! :)

Natalie :yay: I am so glad you didn't change anything from your original layout. The safari gang and scatter is great!! I have used your layouts as guides to learn new skills and techniques. One thing I have noticed about all of them is somewhere on the page you include a little shine or shimmer which usually subtle, LOVE THAT! You are a master at adding the "magic" touch! I know you have said how much your daughter enjoys the books (as do we!). If you and Erin like it, it is a keeper!

Thank you SO MUCH for another wonderful kit!! :woohoo: You have saved me so much time, which I don't have much of these days. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

Natalie all I can ever say is

I've been away from the design boards for a little while, I come back to see if there are any new kits and to my surprise there is not one but two and some beautiful layouts for inspiration. I'm a big Belle fan. I typically like her in the blue dress, but I love the single page Belle layout that you paired with Auroa. It would be great with our photo from the Storybook Breakfast, I might just have to scraplift that one. :rolleyes1

You ROCK sister!:thumbsup2

Hi

The sprinkly sparkly diamond looking bits that Natalie has added to her Animal Kingdom layout - does anybody know where I can get these - or where they created with a brush.

Sorry if this is an obvious question but I am VERY new to this. I have downloaded lots of brushes to Photoshop but I am really not that sure on how to use them??

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks x

Sweet pea,
I don't know how to make the sparkles either so if anyone has insight YEAH!! I know that the sparkles I use I downloaded about 6 different kinds of sparkles from Natalies photobucket some time ago and I use them quite frequently to add bling!! I believe it was under her scrapbooking tab. I can't get there from here on this computer otherwise I would tell you specifically. :)

Hope that Helps.

I used a splatter brush....
then I filled the splatter with a neutral glitter background. I made a glitter background by taking a digital photo of glitter spread heavily on a piece of paper. Just make sure that no paper shows through. Once the splatter was filled, I used the simple inner bevel to create the 3-d glitter glue effect. Then I colorize it to make it work for the layout I'm working on. Make sure that you are working on a transparent background and save the file as a PNG. I hope this makes some sense.

Hi Sweet Pea! Thanks for asking about scatter brushes. I have not yet worked with the brushes I have collected either. I was curious as to what tutorials were available so I can learn as well. I googled "Photoshop scatter brush tutorials", THOUSANDS are available for free. It looks like there are 4-5 simple steps. There is even a tutorial on YouTube for visual learns like myself. I figured once I get the hang of it, then I can incorporate Natalie's techniques. I love how she incorporates the 3-D effect to a 2D LO. Keep in mind your version of Photoshop maybe different than the tutorial.

There are also tons of glitter swatches or tiles also available in every shade possible. Search "free digital scrapbook glitter". I find it faster to go thru the images of the search results.

What should we learn next? ;)

Hey Natalie,
Got a question. We are a BIG character family and each trip it's always a goal to find as many NEW characters as we can. I'm wanting to have some sort of little icon or symbol that when I scrapbook I can place on the page to signify "NEW CHARACTER." I've been brain stroming and can't come up with anything I like. :confused3 Of course my husband says...."Ask Natalie..." :worship:

Any help would be great.... We saw Miss Bunny our last trip for the first time so my page is pretty much done but it's just missing that one little "Magical Moment" Symbol.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Valentines Day!

P.S.

This is what I put together for you...... I just kept getting drawn back to the Disney symbol. It just means Character Greet to me!

OMGoodness... I had to go run and take my laptop into my husband. He just started laughing because that is exactly what he told me to do was something with the Character hand symbol. YOU ROCK!! PERFECT!!! I LOVE IT! :worship: :worship: Here's what I did!! THANK THANK :worship::worship:
