I've seen a ton of negative comments regarding the Magic Bands and thats fine. What I'm looking for here is ONLY positive experiences with Magic Bands and using them with Deluxe Dining Plan.

Tell me what you liked and how easy it was..........

If you take out the FP + views, I've found the magic band reviews to be very positive over the last month or so. Probably 80% say it's easy and 20% didn't care for them or had problems. Maybe even higher.

Have only seen a few complaints from guests regarding their access to any dining plan from magic bands, due to technical glitches.

Most of the complaints are regarding FP+ and really aren't about the technology but the fact that most DIS posters find 3 fastpasses a day in only one park to be inadequate.

I had no problems using the magic bands with the DDP. The biggest issue if you plan for lots of sit down meals is that there is an unspecified amount of time you are locked out of making FP+ before and after an ADR. For our trip it was 30 before and 90 after so if I had a noon ADR we couldn't get a FP between 11:30 and 1:30. We did 2 ADRs a day and it was not easy scheduling. I actually canceled the ADRs I could still get and made those on another family member's account to get around the locked out period.

I'm currently on the plane back from our 11 night trip with the deluxe plan. We had absolutely no issues whatsoever with the bands. Occasionally the wifi was being stubborn and didn't want to cooperate, but this was all remedied within a few seconds. I was initially unhappy with the fp+ blackout times! but our service was so slow at so many places we wouldn't have made the fp+ window if it were any earlier.

Wow, this is important information...........I was unaware (shame on me) that this was the case. I'll have to re-look at the plan for FP+'s.

Thanks for the info.........

Had DDP last summer with the magic bands. No issues using credits or paying, except for Le Cellier, but it was because since you are sort of in a cellar, the signal on the iphone wasnt really strong. We had to use our cards for that one.
