Hi,

I'm trying to plan this years trip for myself and my son to the MNSSHP and was wondering what hotels have free transport to both parks.

Last year we stayed at the Royal Plaza and it was nice for hitting all the Disney parks but this year I plan on staying a whole week (instead of 3-4 days) and since we are flying down again free shuttle transport is important.

It's just a farther/son getaway thing so I'm not really as concerned about a super nice hotel as I am saving some $$$ and getting around easy. I found that the Howard Johnson- International , Orlando (which is a old hotel) has free transport to universal/disney and seaworld and if such an old hotel has it then I would expect others do as well. Hotelmartusa.com has it for $41 per night which really cuts my cost from the $100 or so I was planning but I'm concerned that perhaps it's just too run down or the shuttles are unreliable.

Any other options for hotels or anyone have info on the HJ International?

At one time the Embassy Suites on Jamacian Court offered free shuttles to both BUT I don't think you'd be happy. The buses serve multiple hotels and take a LONG time to get to Disney. They work on a very limited schedule. I think you'd be happier either renting a car or staying in a DTD hotel and just paying for Mears transportation to Universal for a day.

just came back from comfort suites maingate west (8660 irlo bronson I think). They do disney, seaworld and I'm pretty sure universal - coupon rate (roomsaver.com) was $51 a night and its a huge room with microwave and fridge - best bit however the pool is about 95 degrees, we were there when it was freezing but could still swim - and breakfast is very good too. my only criticism, if you're sensitive to cigarette smoke ask for a proper non smoking room, not one of the sneaky 'we were a smoking room until 3 months ago' ones - they put us in one of those and were strangely amazed by the fact that I could tell after a night of sleeping in it!!! they moved us straight away though.

Thanks, that don't sound bad. I have found another that looks really really good and should have good shuttle service to boot. It's the Marriot Renaissance Resort Seaworld. It looks to be a really upscale place so I'm figuring it has good shuttle service and it's directly opposite sea world so I should be able to hit all 3 parks with ease and I found a reasonable rate of $83 per night. I'm going to email them to get the specifics.

Have you considered getting a rental car? We got a compact from thrifty.com for $59.95 next week. That would increase your hotel options. You can try biddingfor travel.com. for some other bargains.

Enjoy your precious time.

Hi, just got the following information back from the Marriot at Sea World and thought others may be interested in it as well (I hate driving/parking/driving back after a long day at the parks)

Thank you for contacting Marriott. We appreciate the opportunity to provide you with information.

We were able to locate the following information regarding the transportation at the hotel:

The free shuttle service is very prompt, and their schedule would be posted at the Mears Shuttle desk. For the free shuttle service, please pick up shuttle vouchers at the concierge desk. There is not a posting online as their schedule does change from week to week. The trip time from the hotel to the various attractions would take about 20 minutes. There is not a shuttle provided from the hotel to Sea World, it will be about a 3 minute walk from the hotel's door to Sea World's door

This hotel had free shuttles to Disney, Universal, Wet & Wild, and Sea World. It is located on US 192, near Old Town. It opened in April 2000, address is 2775 Florida Plaza Blvd in Kissimmee. Complimentary Deluxe Continental Breakfast. Fridge/Micro/Coffee Maker in each room. Phone number is 800-228-5150 or 407-397-7848. Their web site is comfortsuitesfl.com, rated 3 stars by AAA.
Hope this info helps...

That's nice and they have suites for $53 a night. I'm going to have a hard time choosing between the two but $20 less a night is real tempting even if the other place is right next to Sea World. Thanks for all the great info everyone.:earsboy:
