Looking for opinion's on Narcoossee's

We love Narcoossees. We ate there last June and are going back in October. We happen to love the theme and enjoying looking out over Bay Lake and watching WISHES at the end of our meal.

I think for every positive review you will get a negative. I don't mind personally if the service is a bit slow (although we haven't experienced that at Narcoossees) since we like to relax over dinner and aren't rushing into a park. However, that can be a pet peeve of some people.

If you can't tell already, you'll get a wide range of opinions on Narcs here on the DIS. To add my opinion to the mix, we've been to every signature on property, and with the exception of V&A's, Narcoossee's is my favorite restaurant at Disney...

Was totally underwhelmed by the food at Narcoosee's. Had the surf and turf, and it certainly wasn't great. The best part was dessert. I had the creme brulee 3 ways. It was heavenly. The flavors were coconut, key lime, and vanilla bean. We were there during the cold spell last December (it was 26 degrees the night we were there), and it was nice to see Wishes from the deck of the restaurant, but I certainly wouldn't make a special trip over there just for the food again.

We always eat there on our arrival date. We have never had a bad meal, but we have had issues with service - but bad service can be had at any restaurant on the planet. With that, I'd recommend Narcoossee's as it has good food and great atmosphere. Try to get there right before Wishes so you can view it from the deck. They pipe-in the music so you can hear it while you view the show.

I rank Narcoossee's the lowest of the signatures because it wasn't worthy of it's signature status for me. The food wasn't bad....it was just ok. The service was somewhat poor.

I don't want to pay signature prices for food that's just ok.

If you want to eat a signature, I think any of them are more enjoyable than Narcoossee's. My favorites are Citricos, Jiko, and Flying Fish.

There was a change in management a few years ago and the restaurant has had consistency problems. Recent feedback leads me to believe that things are better and we are giving it a shot in December. It is a long time favorite of ours. I think a fair amount of negative feedback on food comes from two camps - people from New England who expect the lobster to live up ( it doen't, but it is good and we order it every time-Shula's does better lobster IMO) and people who are put off by the simplicity of prep and presentation. The rest of the negative feedback is from off nights, and they had a spate of them for a while.

Narcoossees used to be one of our favorite restaurants. The menu has gone down hill, it tends to be very noisy in there. Its past reputation and location are the only this it really has left. Citricos is a much better restaurant!!!

I thought that it sucked, and the food was mediocre and completely overpriced! just my 2 euro cents!
