My problem is there are too many good ones! We have not been to Disney in a couple years. I can make dinning reservations next Saturday. I will have 3 nights at Epcot plus 1 for the Grand Gathering IllumiNations Dinner. There are 10 in our gathering. Age 9 - 67

What are the current best choices? In the past we have enjoyed LeCellier, Rose and Crown, and Garden Grill.

Thanks!

Our three favorites are: LeCellier, Biergarten and Rose & Crown. We are trying Tutto this year.

9 Dragons was excellent! The food was great and the potitions were large.

This is funny. I purposely clicked on this thread to say avoid Nine Dragons!! :lmao: We ate there last week and it was not good. DH picked it, and he was soooo disappointed. Our food was basically tasteless. DH poured soy sauce all over his fried rice to try to add some flavor to it. We actually had better food at the Yak and Yeti counter service restaurant than we had at Nine Dragons. I will say that my mom's veggie stir fry was good, but it is not worth about $20 per person. I had read mixed reviews on it before we went, but we decided to see for ourselves what it was like. It was not good. (This was on 3/3/09.)

On the other hand, we did enjoy Rose & Crown. Other than that, in Epcot we just ate around World Showcase at the CS places. We love the Tangeriene Cafe in Morocco the best!

We love eating in WS and also usually eat here 3 or 4 nights during our trip.
A must do each trip is Teppan Edo. It is a beutiful restaurant, and the atmosphere is lots of fun. We enjoy meeting other guests at our table. The food is delicious.
We also enjoy Rose & Crown and have been lucky enough to be seated on the patio for Illuminations 3 times.
Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco is another beautiful restarant with warm friemdly service and excellent food. The Belly Dancer is fun and invites the little ones up to dance with her.
We are going to Biergarten this trip. We have not been here in years and DH and DS have requested this.
We enjoyed LeCellier in the past, but on our last visit we felt it had slipped a lot. We are not going on this trip.
We ate at the San Angel Inn in Mexico last trip and I was pleasantly surprised. It generally does not get good reviews. We find the food to be good, the atmosphere was really nice and our server was attentive without being hovering. I did not feel the tables were any closer than other WS restaurants and it was not too dark. (2 complaints you hear).
Have a Great Trip

I agree 100%!! We just ate there two days ago and it was phenomenal! We had the basic dining plan and was able to get the special that was 40.00/person. It came with appetizer, choice of soup, choice of entree and dessert.

The hot and sour soup was delicious. I had the spicy fish and it was delicate and decadent. The different spices and flavors married so well and made for such an outstanding dish. My oldest daughter had the general tso's chicken and the portion was HUGE and absolutely fantastic! The sauce was light and spicy and there wasn't too much of it, just perfect. My husband had the steak and shrimp and said it was the best chinese meal he had ever had. For dessert I had the banana cheesecake eggroll - so good my eyes almost crossed!:lmao: It had a light crunchy outside with a creamy, gooey inside, soooooo good.

We really fell in love with this restaurant and will be back over and over.:)

Is that special only for those on the DDP -- sort of like the prix fixe at Le Cellier to get those using (1) credit to buy more? Were you able to choose any appetizer, soup, entree and dessert on the menu or was there a special list? I'm only asking because we will be on the DxDP, and allears.net mentions a Family Dinner Set but no special as you stated. Of course, AEN isn't always up-to-date.

We tried chefs de France for the 1st time in December. It was fabulous. Chefs de France will be a must do everytime for us.

Also, we enjoy the Garden Grill. It is nothing fancy but foods we are accustomed to.

Nine Dragons we loved in 11/07 but since then they have been through a refurbishment and I read on here the portions were smaller. :confused3

Yes, it is a special aimed at those on the basic dining plan. The appetizers are fixed (2 springrolls, 2 potstickers) and the soups are a choice between hot and sour and consumme with potstickers (wonton, lol). The entrees are general tso' chicken, spicy fish, steak and shrimp and one more. The desserts are the cheesecake eggroll or redbean ice cream.

If I were on the DxDDP, I would probably not choose this (just b/c I would have liked a different appetizer), but it was a great use of the basic credits.;)

10-4. Thanks for confirming this. :)

I can't speak to "current," but on both trips ('99 and '04), my sister and I loved Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco. Both times, we had the "Royal Feast" - it was slightly different each time, but always featured the roast lamb and lemon chicken. Looking at a more recent menu, it shows the Beef Brewat Rolls as the appetizer now, which I haven't had; I really enjoyed the Seafood Bastilla, which used to be part of the Feast. On the first trip, the meal was served "family style" (even though there were only two of us); on the second trip, the meal was served already plated (maybe because there were only two of us?), but still delicious either way.

I vote for Biergarten! My husband and I love it there. We are trying Restaurant Marrakesh this time around because I've heard good things about it. Good Luck on trying to decide!

We were on the DXDDP. We were able to choose and of the apps, soups, main courses, or desserts.

DH had the spring rolls, don't remember his main course, or his dessert.
I had the pot stickers, wonton soup, honey chicken, and I think it was a ginger cake...didn't think I would like it but it was fabulous.
The kids had ordered the noodles, but the server messed up and wrote the sweet n sour chicken...it was probably a blessing in disguise cause the sauce was on the side and they LOVED it!!! They had icecream for dessert.

Sounds like 9 Dragons can be hit or miss. We dinned there later Dec.

We have the same problem... Too many good Epcot restaurants, not enough time to eat at them all!

Teppan Edo and Tutto Italia were both awesome last trip, and we're doing them both again so my mom, who didn't come on our last trip, can try them.

Coral Reef and San Angel Inn were just okay, we're not going to do those again for a while.

Marrakesh, Rose & Crown, Le Chefs de France, and Le Cellier are the ones we're still anxious to try. We've got ADRs for Marrakesh and Rose & Crown for our May trip.

DH loves Biergarten and wants to go back. He said it was one of the highlights of our whole trip!
I loved Marrakesh. The chicken cous cous tasted exactly like when I had it in France.
