Looking for offsite seafood restaurant

Any suggestions for a good seafood restaurant within about 10 or 15 miles of WDW? We're particularly looking for a place with crab legs and/or steamed shrimp. Don't really want to pay the price of Fulton's and we're not really crazy about the Cape May buffet, so thought we'd try to find something offsite. Thanks!

The Crab House (tucked in the right back corner) in Crossings Shopping Center directly across from DTD and Hotel Plaza Blvd. They have great Dungeoness Crabs.

All good...we love Shell's...about 6 miles straight east from Disney on 192...on the left, multicolor sign with a fish on it....one of the local favorites...

If you go to one of these restaurants you'd push past your 10 - 15 mile limit, however it might be worth it.
A lot of people rave about Shell's Seafood. There's one on Rte. 192 in Kissimmee (about 19 miles from DTD). And another one on Lee Road in Orlando (about 20 miles from DTD). I haven't been to either, but judging from the consistently positive things that some of my online friends say about Shell's I can't help but believe they're good.
I have, however, been to Straub's on East Colonial Drive in Orlando. This restaurant is also about 20 miles from DTD. And it doesn't look like much - either from the outside or the inside. I think of it as a restaurant for locals as opposed to all of those in the touristy parts of Orlando that serve us vacationers. The servings are BIG and good is great. I highly recommend Straub's if you're willing to stray a bit more from the Mouse.

Dixie Crossroads Seafood Restaurant, Exit 75A Off I-4, In Festival Bay next door to Bass Pro Shops. We have been there a few times and had decent seafood.

Thanks, everyone. Sounds like I have some good choices. I'm going to be at WDW for a very short trip this Saturday through Tuesday. I'll let you know how our seafood search turns out when we get back!

not necessarily all seafood but good seafood that they have on the menu- the ale house on 535 I believe. we ate there monday night and my dinner was wonderful! we had stuffed tilapia and dh had some mahi mahi. The zingers are to die for there and kids eat free the month of July. we have a ale house down here and it makes me want to go back again soon! Our meal came to $33.00 total for a family of four and everything was so fresh! you wont be disappointed

I love Dixie Crossroads.Try the Rock shrimp, they keep me coming back.

I have done both Straub's and Shell's. Neither is much to look at, but the seafood is FRESH and reasonably priced.... Shell's is all over Florida. They used to have great prices on Lobsters on Tuesday, but not sure they do anymore it's been a while... (reading this, I may be back SOON!)

Joe's is a chain and I am pretty sure the seafood you eat in Florida is the same frozen stuff they are selling here in Atlanta LOL!

Crab House has kind of gone downhill IMHO. I used to really like it, but the last time I went it was just so so.....
