Looking for more help with Military tickets ????

So I have been reading a lot about adding to tickets and changing tickets from Child to Adult and I'm still looking for more help so here is my questions:

I have a couple of Military discount tickets (not the Military salute tickets)they are non expiring 10 day hoppers and I want to add the Water park n more option to them...I read that there is a problem with this type of tickets because we didn't pay state tax when we purchase them so does that mean I can't add on the Water Park option or does this mean that along with the Water Parks n more option price I will also have to pay the tax? and if so is the tax on the amount I paid for the tickets or the current tax charged today on my type of ticket.? Same thing goes for upgrading my son's ticket to an adult ticket, same type as above and never used...

I hope someone out there has some answers to my questions I really would like to have some kind of idea of what they would change me so when I get to GS and they say how much it will cost I will know if we are both doing the same thing..

That's a tricky one. I would actually call Disney for that. I would guess that you could add the option, paying tax on whatever you are paying for (not the total cost of the base ticket with no expire). As far as if you can even add the WP option, unfortunately I can't seem to find any info about that. You should be able to upgrade at any time, especially since you need to bring the tickets to GS to convert them to MagicBands or RFID anyway. Best bet is to get the answer straight from the mouse's mouth.
