Looking for March 6th Magic Cruisers

Anyone notice anything funny with their countdown clocks!? I don't know about you, but I'm not waiting any longer than I have to for this cruise!!

The way you read that is this:

"18 days and a wake up".

I learned that in the Army. As your service time comes to end, you start to countdown the days. When your fellow soliders would ask you how much time you have left, you would say (number of days left MINUS 1) "___ days and a wake up!"

You dont count the last day. Thats the day (morning) you "wake up" and leave !!!!

Good morning everyone! I have been away from the boards for a couple of days but I am really excited to see all the activity while I was gone. I packed my girls' stuff this weekend and pulled out all the little things I have been squirreling away in my closet. The kids really enjoyed the "fashion" show when I had them try everything on. I packed 9 regular outfits and 2 dressier dresses for formal and semi-formal nights. I hope that is enough. I did take someone's advice and take out two pairs of shoes I was planning on bringing for them. Now the hard part - packing for me.

Happy packing to all.

Ok, that's better! My clock said 49 days last night! 18 days is correct for me, we're going down the day before :smooth: I don't want to take any chances of a weather delay on our flight!

Just in case anyone was interested, it'll be a full moon on March 6th. That'll make for some pretty nights at sea.

Crumbs, better get my witches hat and broom packed for the cruise! Hehe. Almost time to pack folks! Nat:Pinkbounc

I was at Home Depot yesterday and saw the lime green Mickey paint chips that DIS members are using to recognize each other. I can't remember if this cruise is wearing them or not. Are we? The paint chips are so cute, I would love to make a door decoration with them. My DH thinks I'm nuts for wanting to decorate the door. Is anyone else decorating their door?

::yes:: Plano4, that is what I did. I put a Mickey alien green paint chip on a magnet for our door and I'll be wearing one.::yes:: Not much longer guys!!!!

I am going to try to get the paint chips...dont know if Ill make it. I am going to decorate our door just to thrill my daughter. We are the last room aft Deck 2 so nobody will be walking by.

I STILL do not have my docs. I am going crazy. Of course my TA says he expects them this week.

Thats great ...a beautiful full moon for our cruise send off...I cant wait. I have really made progress with the packing. Now if I had tix to go with the luggage.

See you all very soon:hyper:

We got our docs yesterday. They also included a bunch of the waterproof document/paper holders that go around your neck while swimming for each of our group. Nice little extra.
I took the plunge and got the Romance Escape At Sea for my DW as an anniversary present.
Its a surprise so hoping she'll enjoy it.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Ok, so Im a BRIT! What on earth is a lime green chip? Sounds like a mouldy potato!Hehe. Dont fancy wearing one of those on board to be recognized!!!Nat:Pinkbounc

Usually in a paint store/shop they have different coloured paint chips you can take home and compare and see what colour you want to paint your walls. (If it were up to me everything would be a nice beige colour so it doesn't really matter :) ) and Home Depot has a line of paint where the chips are shaped like a Mickey Mouse head. They have a couple of really bright neon like green colours.
Disers have been cleaning Home Depot out of them for get togethers :)

Its either that or Walkers have decided to get into coloured crisps :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Single mom and two kids - 7 3/4 DD and 13 DS. Son wants to know if there will be anyone else his age. First time in Common Grounds - a bit nervous. He's a great kid with good sense and very responsible. Will make great travel partner. Do I sound like a sales person?

Fourth time on Disney Cruise, second time as only adult. When would we be getting together for a Dis meet? First seven day cruise...just bring me a cold drink and some sunshine!!

I'm getting worried. I booked through Expedia and have not received my documents yet. I read some posts about a month ago about people having problems with Expedia. Anyone else still waiting?

kb111570, I am still waiting also. I am going out of my mind. I booked through a TA (yuck) whos says they will be in at the end of the week...we will see. He tells me "Dont worry..everything is in order" He doesnt understand my excitment!

Is the neon green paint chip a long standing Disney Cruise tradition, or this something new and creative?
What I am wondering is if the room attendants will remove the chips from our doors? Or will they know why they are on our doors and leave them alone?
Do we write anything on these chips? I am going to the mall (where Home Depot is) and kinda wondering how many chips to pick up.

Thanks!

Anybody check out weather.com (weather channel) for St. Thomas? They took out the showers, and replaced it all with partly cloudy's !

Thanks for the info. Sadly we wont be visiting any stores before heading to the ship, so will be "chipless"! Will probably be wearing my UK flag pin instead! Nat:Pinkbounc

It is my understanding that the alien green Disney paint chip sample shaped liked Mickey that you get from Home Depot, is to be worn in a clear plastic lanyard type thing or on a button with your Dis'er name written on it so we all know eachother. ::yes::. Does this sound right to everyone?? Do you realize that on Sunday we can all say we go on the cruise next week?

Oh the anticipation is going to kill me! Snowed again yesterday! I can't wait to not have to put a snow suit on the kids!!
Anyway, I am starting to get nervous that I don't have or will remember everything! Oh well. I write things down as I remember them. My daughters are going to be better dressed than I will!! Even the 15 month old. Look for me in the rags!!LOL
