Last week I had my first taste of Key Lime Pie and all I can say is yummy yum, yum. I thought I read that somewhere in WDW someplace served key line creme brulee but can't seem to find it now. I'd be interested what kind of key lime dessert you've had and where.

I too am a key lime lover (yummy!)...Last time we went to Boma they had little cheescakes that were key lime - delicious!

Believe it or not, we found great Key Lime pie at Artist's Palette at the Saratoga Springs resort.

We haven't tried Key Lime pie at any of the sit down restaurants yet, though. We're planning on trying it at Olivia's sometime in the near future.

For really excellent Key Lime pie, you should go over to north Pinellas county (other side of Tampa) for JJ Gandy's pies. Those are to die for!

I swear I had Key Creme Brulee at Brown Derby. If not have one of their Key Lime Martini's-yum

Unfortunately they don't have key lime creme brulee there. The new creme brulee is a pretty uninspired vanilla blueberry version.

They have yummy key lime tartlets (like little pies) at Fresh at the Dolphin...

Oh oh! This could be a very, very dangerous move on my part. Love martinis but they don't like me, if you get my drift.

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to check it out next time I'm over the bridge!

Sure! They're actually around the Palm Harbor / Tarpon Springs border, on Alternate 19, in a tiny little shop. A lot of local restaurants serve their pies, as well. Their chicken pot pies as amazing.

I am a huge fan of the key lime pie that Publix grocery store sells. It is WONDERFUL (and worth every calorie!)!!! We leave one week from today (woohoo!!) for WDW. We are getting a rental car for a day trip to Daytona Beach. I've already requested taht we stop at Publix on our way back home to VWL for some supplies. That key lime pie is on the top of my "must-buy" list!!

Yes, that was my mom's favorite key lime pie as well - she loved key lime pie so much that we had it instead of cake on her birthdays!

I have a big key lime tree in my front yard...But i guess you really didn't need to know that, did you?:earseek:

heh. I would love that.

I found key limes cheap at a farmer's market last weekend and I'm going to craft some key lime pie at home, with a macadamia nut and coconut crust. Designing it myself.

They have Key Lime tarts at the Boardwalk Bakery. My DD's favorite dessert. She gets one to go every other night. Also check out their chocolate/peanut butter cake, my other DD's fav.

The RFC has key lime pie on their menu. I was a bit hesitant to get it, but it is the best! They drizzle it with raspberry sauce and a dollup of thick whip cream. You must try it!!!!!!!!

Port Orleans FQ food court has key lime pie and if your looking for a sit down meal then Wolfgang Pucks has a very good version that I am currently drooling for. :p

Here's a super simple recipe for a key lime pie that I make. I serve it a lot for company and everyone LOVES it!

*************************************************
1-pie crust (pretzel pie crust is yummy with it - so is graham cracker) prepared/baked

5 oz. Key Lime Juice (I buy it from Williams Sonoma or if you can find the Floribbean brand use that)
2 cans of Sweetened Condensed Milk

*this makes a pretty filled pie, you can cut it in half if you prefer it tart-like.

Whisk key lime juice and milk together until well mixed. Pour into pie shell. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.

****************************************************

Best of all you can make this with low fat or even fat free sweetened condensed milk without sacrificing the flavor!

I always serve it with a twist of fresh lime and whipped cream.

It won't look green so if you want it to you'll need to add food coloring.

Enjoy!
