Looking for Info on Timeshare Adventures-Renting Out Points

I just came across a timeshare company, Timeshare Adventures, that advertises on their website the following "How to Rent your Timeshare

Does anyone have any experience with this company - good or bad?

I would love to rent my DVC points since we cannot use them this year and I could really use the money but I hesitate to post on the Rent Board and deal with the unknown renter myself and all the hassles that could arise.

Hope someone can give me info on Timeshare Adventures.

I think doing a "transfer" of points to another DVC member would be a relatively easy process and still give you the option of receiving dollars for your points.

I think getting a renter from the rent/trade board here is way, way safer than dealing with some unknown timeshare rental place.

The timeshare business is full of scams. We fortunate few who own at the DVC just aren't aware of most of them! Over on TUG (the Timeshare Users' Group, www.tug2.net) we constantly hear of scams targeting timeshare owners, including scams involving an offer to rent out your week for you.

You could ask on TUG about this company, but my guess is everyone will tell you to stear clear of them.

I'd use the rent/trade board here -- in fact, I have used it several times. I agree with LoveToDisney, if you only transfer (rather than rent) points, the process is very, very easy. Write up a simple contract, ask for payment in advance, say you will only deal with established Disboard members, and there will be very little risk.
