We are booked on the 10/29 cruise. This is our first cruise. Wondering if there will be a Halloween party and should we take costumes? I would love to hear about your expieriences. Also..DD will be 16 at time of sailing....shes a little shy...will there be any teen ice breakers on board. An opportunity for her to meet some ship buddies. I appreciate any info you can offer...

I can't help you with the Halloween part since I haven't been on a halloween cruise, but you should go to the Cruise Meet section and see if there is a thread started for the cruise you are on. It is a great way to meet friends before you cruise. My DD 9, had a friend before we got onboard last summer and they were inseperable. They still email each other.

We were on the last Halloween cruise. I made costumes for everyone. There are two halloween events. The kids trick or treat around the ship 3:30 (DCL has designated stops and they give you a map to follow) and then at 10pm there is an adult party with costume judging in the atrium.

Hopefully some of the DISers will reply who particitpated in their own trick or treat. Check the :meete threads" and see if there is one already started for you sailing. They can provide you with more DIS activities.

Agree was on the MAGIC for Halloween and there was lots on and it looked like everyone dressed up!

We were on the 10/30/04 Magic Halloween Cruise. We had a DIS trick-or-treak arranged with fellow DISers. It was great. There was also a trick-or-treat event set up by Disney and like another poster stated, an adult event in the evening.

It was a lot of fun. Disney moved formal night since Halloween was on Sunday. Many wore their costumes to dinner.

Check out the cruise meets and maybe a DIS trick-or-treat event will be set up.

Good luck!!

We went on the 10-31-04 cruise and had a blast. Bring your costumes. I won first prize on ours. I was the Gene on vacation. There is Trick-or-Treating, all kinds of party’s for all the kids and big kids. It was a lot of fun. Happy cruising.

We are so excited about the cruise. Our kids love Halloween. DS would like to wear a different costume everyday....Thanks for all the info...
