I got mine at Best Buy for $14.99, it's a Targus laptop backpack and it has really worked well for me.

Kohl's has/had some on clearance in the purse/handbag section. I got one last weekend. It was marked $9.99, plus I had a 20% off coupon. They had several different styles.

I bought one at Kohls but then got irritated when they marked it down again and just decided to take it back. I didn't think they would price adjust because I had used a coupon that would have expired before the markdown. I really hate shopping at Kohls.

I then ordered an expensive one from LL Bean, which I liked but it had a hard back that made it not fit well under the seat in the little planes I often fly.

Found a Swiss Army version with one missing foot at a yard sale for $5 and sent back the LL Bean one. So far I really like the new (to me) one. When this one dies I'll probably look for another just like it.

ebags.com also had a lot of nice ones, but I never found one I liked that seemed quite as big as the ones I tried. I'm trying to fly with just carryons, so I need a computer bag that I can slide my purse into when necessary.

They're fantastic bags. And there are quite a few sellers with them, free shipping.

I just went out and bought a sleeve. I did go a little more expensive and got a LeSportsac one, but with it, I can pop the lap-top into any bag and go. My sleeve was $30.

I have seen them at Target and other places for about $10. Also if you want a backpack, with all the back to school stuff out, most stores have the backpacks with the built in laptop sleeve.

I was just on the budget boards. Yesterday there was one for free. you just had to pay shipping. Not sure if it is still good. worth checking.
