Thanks for the responses. Bf called last night but I was out running errands. I am hesitant to call just in case she or the baby are sleeping. She will be in the hospital for a few days. I'm sure I will talk to her over the weekend. She knows we will be away on vacation for 10 days but has my cell #.

I have no intention of ever mentioning my hurt feelings to her. That was not why I originally posted. It was my feelings that were hurt, therefore, it is my problem to deal with, not hers or her dh's.

For the posters that were supportive and understood All my emotions and why I was feeling hurt, thank you. For the posters that assumed I thought it should be all about me, I really didn't, but I appreciate your sharing your own birth experiences and how everyone reacts differently. I understand that a c-section is major surgery. I have had surgery and know that it is not an easy thing.

I am thrilled that bf had a baby. This was planned and they tried for a while to have her. My feelings about our friendship has not changed. I realize that they are going through major adjustments right now and things may be different down the road.

I could ramble on but again, I just want to thank everyone that responded.
