Looking for high schoolers on 10/2/03 Wonder!

My DD Kate posted that message. I think she's afraid that there won't be anyone her age on the cruise!! We have a 7 (almost 8) DS, too. There should be plenty of kids for him to be with.

We will be on the 10/2 cruise but will be leaving our 4 kids at home
DD senior, DS junior, DD 8th, DD 6th.

Anniversary cruise and first big trip away from the kids.

Thanks for the message for Kate! You know ... it's not too late to bring the kids afterall!! (Just kidding!!) We're doing the cruise for our 20th anniv but decided to bring them along since this will be our first ever cruise.

Honestly I have thought about it. But we have already bought our airline tickets and the price to purchase 4 more would be terrible. Our kids keep saying they would love to come along. Part of me would rather have them come with us then leave them behind. But the older kids hate missing school because it is so hard to keep caught up with all the classes. The younger would care at all.
We have taken them out a couple of different times in the past and the teachers are very rude to them for taking vacation time when they should be on school. I think a family vacation is more important then missing a few days of school. But since we never had a honeymoon and this will be our 20th anniversary we thought we would treat ourselves.

Are you signed up on the wonder whos on the 10/2 wonder thread? It lists some of the dis people on the 10/2 and where we might be standing.

Hey Padre Disney,

We were able to take a Las Vegas vacation without the kids one year. We had the most wonderful, relaxing time. Not that we didn't miss the kids, but we'd never been away without them. I'm sure you'll miss them, but what a great way to celebrate your 20th!!!

I know what you mean about the teachers and grief about missing too much school. That's one of the reasons we're only doing the 3 night.

I'll try look for the thread for the roll call.
