Looking for grocery store with GF section.

We are staying at the Blue Heron Beach Resort in a few weeks. DS has a wheat allergy. Looking for a grocery store with a gluten free section that is close by. (The Blue Heron is off S. Apopka Vineland.)
Any help would be great.

Check out Chamberlin's in Kissimmee and/or Dr. Phillips

Also Publix on vineland may have GF items as well. Look for the greenwise section.

There is also the reliable Whole Food Market somewhat nearby in Winter Park. In my experience, Whole Foods (or Whole Paycheck as some refer to it ) always has a big selection of GF foods and condiments. The Winter Park store is the only one in the Orlando area (though they are looking to expand in that area). To Google map it, the address is:

Of course, given that Celiac seems to be a growing diagnosis, and that there are even more people who seem to be avoiding gluten even without Celiac or wheat allergies, the grocery stores are increasingly aware of the market for Gluten-Free foods. I suspect that the Publix might do fine, though you may want to look it up ahead of time. The other two options that Cherylp3 recommended are probably closer to your resort. But if you want to be absolutely certain you can get what you need, well Whole Foods is there for you.

Also note that given some lead-time almost any of the WDW table-service restaurants can accommodate GF diets.

unfortunately the store in Winter park is smaller than your usual whole foods.
(I used to live in MA )
There is another one being built, but rumors are it won't be ready until summer.

There is a big Winn-Dixie with a Pharmacy at 11957 S Apopka Vineland Rd, which is about a mile and a half North of where you will be. The phone number there is 407-465-8600. You might want to give them a call ahead of time and ask directly. It is probably the closest major grocery store.
