DH is taking me to dinner on Sunday night and thought about Michael Jordans steakhouse at Mohegan Sun. I have really wanted to try Craft at Foxwoods. Has anyone been to both? Both of us like a good steak and from checking the menus the prices seem to be about the same. I love Top Chef so this is the only reason I would choose one over the other and would welcome some suggestions.

My DH drives for a living and has to be at work very early in the AM so the ride along with it being a Sunday is huge for him. He told me he really doesn't care as long as we do not go to Bobby Flay (Considered him a poor sport in Iron CHef).

They are both very good, but my favorite steakhouse at the casinos is David Burkes Prime and Craftsteak. :lovestruc

We just went to Prime this weekend and the food was excellent. Here is his website where you can see the menu. The aged steaks are soooo good, but huge!! You will have enough for another dinner. :) http://www.davidburkeprime.com/menu.html

I have not eaten at Micheal Jordans in many years, but when I did it was good. Craftsteak is always an excellent meal also. Plus he has some American Wagyu Kobe if you are looking to try that. Rich, buttery and delicious. It's a bit expensive ($110 for a 14oz steak) but well worth it if you have never had it before.

The sides at both Craftsteak and Prime are good. The mushrooms and creamed spinach are favs at Prime. Craftsteak has a larger selection of sides and we have had the mushrooms (mixed), the gratin and the spinach and they were good. I wanna try the rosti and the zucchini flowers next time. Plan on sharing sides as they give you a good amount.

Depending on what I was looking for either Prime or Craftsteak would be our first pick. Honestly, I don't think we would go back to Jordans since these 2 are around and the food is so consistently good.

Also, Cedars Steakhouse at Foxwoods is good. It has been there since the beginning and everyone loves their steaks.

In regards to the drive, Foxwoods is only about 15 minutes farther then Mohegan.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your steaks regardless of where you go!!

Heidi- I was hoping that you would check in! Thank you for the tips. I always tease Buddy that dining needs to be within 30 minutes :lmao: so this is a treat for me! I liked Cedars when we ate there. I am going to check out Prime now and then let him decide.

Thanks again!
