Hello! As the title states, I'm looking for some feedback for my plans. Some background, I'm 19 and this is my first trip; I'm going with my roommates and two friends of one of my roommates whom I've never actually met because we go to different schools. I believe of the others I'm going with, 3 have been to WDW before and one is an international student from who has been to HK Disneyland. That being said, the planning was left up to me because I wanted to do it; I've been planning pretend trips for as long as I can remember. Anyways, here are our plans:

December 14: Drive from WI to Atlanta

December 15: Drive from Atlanta to WDW, check in to ASMusic, check out decorations at deluxe resorts, window shop at DTD.

December 16: HS Day. We plan on arriving by RD. FP+ for Star Tours from 10:50-11:50, TSMM from 11:55-12:55, and Rock n Roller Coaster from 1:10-2:10. We plan on seeing the later Fantasmic. I'd also like to make sure to get to Characterpalooza, but I haven't seen any KtP updates on whether it will be happening in December.

December 17: MK. We plan on arriving as early as 5 20-somethings can muster. I told my friends that I'd leave without them if they were slow, although I'm not totally sure if I'll follow through with that threat, haha. FP+ for BTMRR from 11:35-12:35, Meet Cinderella and Rapunzel from 12:40-1:40, and Space Mountain from 2:15-3:15. I'm thinking we're going to start in Fantasyland, haven't decided whether we should try to get on 7 Dwarves Mine Train right away or what exactly we're going to do. I'm not sure how detailed we should get with planning because I don't want to get too crazy when it comes to holding to a schedule.

December 18: Epcot. Again, we plan on getting there by RD. FP+ for Spaceship Earth from 9:30-10:30, Test Track from 11:05-12:05, and Mission Space from 12:10-1:10. I tried to get these earlier because I think for me, the bigger priority would be the World Showcase. Just looking at it, Future World seems to hold less interest, although I'm not sure if that'll change when I get there.

December 19: Check-out. AK. Get there by RD. FP+ for Kilimanjaro Safaris 1:15-2:15 (although we'll probably ride this earlier as well), Expedition Everest 2:15-3:15, and Dinosaur 3:15-4:15. When we're done here, we'll drive back to WI, so we're not so concerned in staying all day, just seeing what we want to before leaving.

As I said, it's my first time. I don't know what first-timer mistakes or assumptions I might be making and I would really appreciate any advice, specific to these plans or in general.

It is a solid plan. I think you could look at easywdw for one day touring plans that can get you on a lot more rides.

In Epcot I would rope drop SOARIN to add to your day there.... Perhaps try to Single Rider Line Test Track after that...

Easy WDW will also have best days in each park so you might adjust from there. (Though it sounds like you have FP+ already...)

MK - It might be best to move FP+ up in the day (10 AM or so) and then rope drop some of the medium attractions. Use FP+ and then schedule more FP+ after your three are up.

Have Fun!

Looks like a good plan to me! I'll be in MK on the 17th too. Not highly recommended but supposed to be the best day if you want to see nighttime entertainment and WE DO!

Have you figured out your plan on where to watch parade and wishes? That is about the only thing I haven't nailed down yet...

I would agree with the PP who suggested adding Soarin' to your Epcot day.

If I were you, I'd try to get Soarin' FP, and try to get to Test Track at rope drop and get in standby line before its too crowded. You'll want to do both of those attractions, and Soarin' will have the longest standby line.

World Showcase is lovely!
