Looking for counter service meal at AK

It is me again! I am looking for counter service meal ideas for Animal Kingdom.

Flame Tree Bar-b-que is excellent (if you like bar-b-que). The portions are good size for what you pay and the flavor is excellent.

Flame Tree BBQ is our favourite as well. We usually order 3 meals for the 4 of us as there is quite a bit of food.

We also like Flame Tree BBQ! It is really really good(if you like BBQ). We made the mistake of not eating there 6 days ago and instead eating at Pizzafari...

Flame Tree Barbecue for us. It is a must do every trip. We will NOT eat pizza at Disney.

Flame Tree BBQ is my fave Disney CS. I really like the pulled pork sandwich and the onion rings. The frozen lemonade dessert is really nice and refreshing, too.

We were going to eat at Flaming Tree BBQ it looked and smelled delicious. We changed our minds when we found out there was no place to eat inside. We were there last week and it was just too hot to eat outside. We did not eat anywhere in AK for the lack of indoor places to eat.

Maybe its just me but I didnt care for FT BBQ. The seating was maze-like, and the ribs they were barely warm, and the corn muffin? dry... yuck! I enjoyed the key lime pie. Back to Pizza for me... or the chineese to try

Flaming Tree BBQ has always been my favorite.Yes the seating is"maze like"as The Sweetness said but I find this makes the seating area quite nice as you can always find a quiet place to sit.One time we were there the boat came by with mickey and Pluto stopped right in front of our table and put on a small show just for the two of us,that was great fun.
The food has always been fantastic but I suppose you can have bad luck at all the restaurants.
This is acctually the one place Im looking forward to going to in sept.I have always found a nice quiet table to get away from the Hectic and you have a wonderful view.

I totally agree with this. This is the reason we love Flame Tree. We always follow the maze down to the water and eat down there...it's usually quiet and empty. Last time I made the mistake of sending DH to find a table with DS after we ordered while I waiting for our food...so then I had to carry all of the food down the maze! Never again! LOL!

Pizzafari does have a hot Italian deli sandwich which comes topped with ceasar salad and pesto marinated tomatoes which is very good. It's my favorite CS meal at AK since the wonderful CS at Tusker House went away.

I enjoyed a chicken parmesan sandwich at Pizzafari last year and my husband really liked the Italian sandwich, also. We liked Pizzafari because it's indoor and there are lots of dining rooms. While we were there last year, Flik from A Bug's Life came in and did a meet-&-greet right next to our table!

Yeah I'd have to go with Flame Tree or Pizzafari too. I had that Italian sandwich at Pizzafari last time we were there and it was quite good.
