OMG!!! I think we're going to Disney!! We got a postcard in the mail telling us we must go for only $1389 for 6 days with dining. HELLO!! Then we checked our Disney rewards card and we have $300 (scary when you add it up) so the trip will only cost $1000!

We're going to have to drive down and we'll take a few extra days down and back. I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!! We're weren't looking on going this year and to be able to go will be huge for my family!!!

Jenn - It's good you're getting to the bottom of what your kids need while they're small - I'll be thinking about you.

Debbie- I always heard long hair makes you look older, cuz it "drags your face down." But I grew my hair a little longer lately, and everyone keeps complementing me. When I pick a cute shorter cut, my hairdresser always insists on keeping it chin level, to balance out my "round face."

I could see you getting a new layered cut with highlights, like Lorrie said, might be fun!

Laura - I have fine straight hair, too. I get perms every time I'm going on a trip to somewhere humid, otherwise my hair just hangs in my face. Like Kara said, it will calm down in a couple of days. Besides the conditioner, put some mousse in it and finger comb it where you want it, then let it air dry and fluff it.

Lorrie - I want to be at the beach, too! Or on a DCL ship, or at WDW, or at the lake - I am bummed that Summer is just getting here and my vacation is already over. My leg does fine when I take my leg vein formula, BTW. Thanks for asking.

I had a dentist appt yesterday. I've lost some fillings, and put it off, then a crown came off and there was nothing under there! So I have to get two crowns put on with $1000 co-pays, and I have to get the tooth pulled OOP because the crowns will max out my insurance. Well, our Blue Cross pays 30% of what they think is fair - so it's almost nothing. Our secondary will be maxed.

So now we're looking at flights is $200 round trip is that good from RI to FL? Darn I remember paying $800 for 4 days for 2 adults and 1 child with flights and tickets. Man it is so expensive!!

Tina that's awsome!!! That is a bit expensive for flights, but if you leave on a Tues or Wed they get cheaper also what days are you going? I think out of Boston it can be a bit cheaper

So the trip is offically booked and I am ready to go. We are getting Annual Passes We leave Boston Sept 30th and check in at POFQ on Oct. 2nd and we are staying until October 9th then we should be home by the 11th. All of this with free dining!!!!

Usually we drive from MA to but for some reason DH wants to fly this time. I don't think we have the money for it, but he seems confident. I'm just exctied that we can go. Plus with the disney reward it will bring it down to $1000 so the cost of hotels and gas on the way down won't seem so it won't be so bad.

Three months! Boy I have a lot of planning to do!

Tina- Where do you stay on the way down? We are leaving the 30th of Sept at 9pm and are hoping to stop somewhere by 9 or 10am. Mike is hoping if he and Badookie feel up to it we will drive straight thru? I am just along for the ride and will not be allowed to drive LOL.

Jillian - we drove the first time from SC - only about 8 hrs total, but even driving to my P's house it is 13 hrs. The drive never bothers me though. I guess because as a kid we always drove on big vacations......

11 inches of rain.... so far! They showed Clay County on the weather channel last night - it's terrible right now, everything is flooding! And we are supposed to get an inch or so every day for the next 4 or 5 days!!! I just checked the radar and there is a big yellow blob heading our way! It is sooooo depressing! Seriously have not seen the sun since Sunday.

The thought of being in a car anymore than 3 hours makes me ill! I feel like I am going to crawl out of my skin after about 2 and a half.

I think 200.00 for air sounds good at this point. It depends on the time of year and stuff. Flights with stops are of course cheaper but who wants to do that!

I am going to clean all day today! Yuck! Of course it was gorgeous weather all week (sorry Kara) and now it will rain in time for Memorial Day! Doesn't it always get crappy for Memorial Day weekend!

Cammie....that SUCKS about the AC! Any way you can get the x to pay...hehehehehe!

Kara...I saw Jeff is building an arc so you guys should be fine! Again...heheheheheh


Laura.....hang in there with the hair. I am sure it will be fine. BUT that is why my hair style rarely changes. I HATE risking it! BTW I do have bangs and layers now....

On a GREAT note...get this.... I decided to collect and gather all my gift cards, Disney dollars, gift certificates etc...and put them all in one place. Well, it turns out I have $100.00 on Disney gift cards and about $200,00 of WDW/Disney dollars!!!!! I also found 100.00 for Kohl's AND when I put all the kids and my McDonalds dollars together it equaled 50 bucks!!!!!! I am cracking myself up with that one. My only question is I think that you can sell certain Disney dollars (older ones) on line for more so I probably won't use all of those. And lastly I have almost 300 bucks of Disney rewards like Tina. I would feel really guilty about how much I had to spend to get that but I did earn 5% back for a couple of months from a promotion.
Crazy,huh. I don't think that I will need to spend any REAL money while we are there!

Soontobewed07 - Last April we drove straight down to Savanah, GA - NOT RECOMMENDED - 20 hours straight does things to your psychie!! Plus that was on Bonine - that IS recommended!!! I'd say drive down to the Carolina's then make it the rest of the way.

We just came back from DC - which was 8 hours no problem and then side tracked over to Hershey - 2 hours so the ride home was about 10 hours straight. Next time I'd split Disney up into two 12 hour drives and stay somewhere in between. My kids are really good in the car - yes we have the DS going and we bring a lot of coloring and reading books. However this last trip we didn't even break out the DVD! We sang Girl Scout songs!! I think if we drive down this time I'll bring crafts for SWAPS or school prep stuff.

SAD NEWS - DH is putting me on an emotional roller coaster again. I knew I should have never said we were going outloud or even started my dining spreadsheet. Today he's saying maybe we won't go! AHH!! Honestly I think $1000 for 6days staying on site, w/tickets and free dining for four people is pretty darn good. However I do understand where he's coming from our Visa card is pretty high and the economy is not so good. He's going to talk to his boss at his 2nd job to see if he can take on more work. I'm thinking if we can save $100 for the next 10 weeks we're golden. He wants to fly, but I'm good with driving. We'll see. Keep those fingers crossed.

Tammie - very cool about the found $$$. I think all we would find is Cheerios and dust bunnies if I went on too exhaustive a search around here!

Tina - I think that is a bargain! We are going 9/26 - 10/3 and it's worked out to $2100 or so for the four of us at CSR w/ hoppers. Of course the 22 m/o is still free.

Kara - this weather pattern is crazy! It's rained here in Atlanta every day for 2 weeks, albeit not constantly like down there. Very windy too, which the allergies love.

Cammie - What about sharing cost w/ the ex?

Laura - I love it! Very flattering and still long enough to get up. Do you have an Ulta near you? If so, I use Deva Curl products - they really work on frizz and the Mister Right reactivator is awesome. I would look like Don King without this stuff - I am so happy to have found a good product line for curly hair!

To everyone, hope your Friday is a good one! My mom is visiting this weekend and I am looking forward to a little of a break from the babies so I can organize closets and such in prep for our yard sale. I'm hoping to make some serious Disney Dollars for September. We are doing a babysitter one night while we are there so we can go to F&W and hit the slushie booth. Chris saw the Grey Goose slushie on allearsnet and was immediately intrigued. I've almost got our preliminary plan worked out. Once I do, I will most likely do a PTR. I hope you girls will take a look at it for me and let me know what you think.

Alright...Ben has just decided to remove the paper wrappers from his new box of crayons while I've typed this and Emmie is trying to eat said crayons. *sigh* Back to it. Take care, all!
