The concert is July 17th (the day before my birthday!) And yeah - I'm thinking I won't tell her until closer to the show. I think she deserves some notice - I would want it. And it would be fun to share the news with her friends and have the pictures. And have no fear - I will take LOTS of pix; although not sure how it will work. I'm thinking I won't have my own private photo session with them - I think they may chat and pose for one or two pix. We'll see. I also have great seats for the show so I'll get pix of that too. Let's just hope I don't mess up the photo opps.

This is now my incentive to get a new and better camera!

Lorrie - I can't believe your trip is so close. I vote for the second shirt too for the infamous Kara meeting. I second Jillian's opinion - Kara is a hoot; Jeff is a doll (I really don't know why she complains about him so much!); and Ally is a very adorable and personable young lady.

Debbie - You seriously don't know what a nip is? Didn't you go away to college? They're baby-size bottles of liquor (think airline size). We used to sneak those puppies into sporting events ALL the time! With the exception of a particular NIT basketball tourney at MSG in NYC where my friends convinced me to conceal a full-size bottle of peppermint schnapps in MY PANTS! I then proceeded to walk through the turnstile, hip first, clacking the bottle into the metal. Luckily the bottle didn't break and the usher was like 100 years old so he didn't hear a thing! Aaaaah - college! Good times! (wow - that story is so vivid in my mind!)

Congrats on the new washer & dryer Tammie! I need new ones also; along with a new oven, dishwasher, and microwave. Every year I think will be the year I'll purchase them, and then another huge expense pops up! Doesn't look like I'll be getting any this year now either.

Kara - Yes, we need to start chatting about our trip. I was on the phone with Ellen the other night. She's thinking about starting the ptr soon. As for clothes, I'm all for neat and comfortable. Will bring shorts but probably only will wear them if it's REALLY, REALLY hot. Like I said, I hate wearing shorts when my legs are so pastey-white; will probably stick with capris. As for showers in the middle of the day - I can't be bothered. I'll shower in the morning; if it's so disgustingly hot, what's the point of going back to the room and showering in the middle of the day, just to go back out and get disgustingly hot again? I would probably just shower when we were in for the night. Sorry but that's just the way I roll when in Disney. Don't worry though - I will be presentable and won't smell. I'll have my Laila with me!

Ok, sorry for rambling. I'm on cloud nine right now but I should head off to bed. The first day back to school after vacation is always a killer.

LAUREN IS MEETING THE JONAS BROTHERS!!!!!

My friend just left me a message on my wall on Facebook - the meet & greet is a go! I"m so excited for Lauren! She's going to DIE! I literally have tears in my eyes right now. I know I'm psycho but you know when something is a really big deal for your kid and you want it so bad? THAT'S how I feel right now! And I've got to admit - I'm feeling a little giddy for myself. That middle brother better watch out!

No but seriously, I'm going to have to get this guy's PHONE NUMBER (damn - he's married!) Oh lordy! So my next dilemna - when to tell Lauren? We'll be debating this over the next few days. But, in the meantime.....................

Okay, just skimming quickly, but I had to say WOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOO for Lauren!

We've had a wild weekend.

We went out for Date Night Friday. Well, I spare you to the details, but 7pm - 2 am my face was in the trash can multiple times.

The party went well - forgot stuff, had no help, but I was so weak I let it go and Nicolas really seemed to have a good time.

My In-Laws arrived late, we held the cake off for them. They came to our house briefly - very briefly.

Being so sick and having no help, I said - know what? forget it! If Carlos can't help me, I'm not doing it today.

Carlos' mom has had a stroke and has limited ability with her left side, so get this before she came in I took the broom and SWEPT a path for her to walk through. Yep, that bad - kids toys and two decks of cards that my BIL sent all over everywhere. Dirty Dishes in the sink. My FIL was making noises under his breath like you wouldn't believe. They stayed 20 minutes and LEFT! I should've done this sooner!

Thank you Kara for being my inspriation for that little number.

We're continuing to pack. I'm about to flip out. Carlos is taking one pair of nice shorts, one polo - and the rest are athletic shorts and t-shirts. Not that I MIND, but this man never goes super casual. I'm sorta excited for him being so laid back.

Okay, off to skim the weather and finish packing.

Lorrie - so sorry you were sick! That is so tough to try to hold it all together for something like that when all you want to do is be in bed. Glad everything went well, including the inlaws super short visit! BTW, how was I your inspiration for that?

Jeff is super casual here but for some reason at Disney he's always in golf shirts and nice shorts - although he's starting to go more for t-shirts these days.....

Cammie - Nope, I shower once a day, that's it. Except for Saturday when I took FOUR showers!!! but seriously, at WDW, I'm all about comfort and since we usuually only see our resort in the morning and again at night, there's no reason for me to head back to shower. So how does Ellen dress? Is she a sundress for dinner kinda gal? I need to give her a call this week....

We just had the best weekend here! And the big fight yesterday did some good - last night Jeff helped me clean the kitchen, he spent time with Ally sorting through pins and getting our lanyards ready, then he put away all his clean laundry. Me like!

But Saturday we got some work done in the yard, spent a couple hours at the pool, played 9 holes of golf, then yesterday we went to the pool again, and then got a bit of the house picked up last night. Now I need to actually clean it all before I have a cleaning lady come and give me a quote. I was talking to a friend here in the neighborhood and she's got a good recommendation for me. I swear, my stress level has decreased just knowing that this is hopefully gonna happen soon....

We did about 6 loads of laundry this weekend and still not done!!! So now need to toss some stuff in a bag for the weekend. I'm so looking forward to Boma AND R&C this trip. Oh, yeah, and gonna meet someone too....

Kara - On the inspiration thing - because you said you were swapping places with Jeff. Let me tell you, slightest sniffle and Carlos won't do anything but lay on the sofa and watch TV, so I figure why the heck kill myself.

I'm still packing. There is so much to do. Called my mom to see if they could help out with the kids a couple hours this week. Nope (keep in mind SF is still at home & mom works from home 6-3pm. ). I expected as much - no biggie. That is why I started packing early!

I picked up the house yesterday so I'm feeling better about that. Go to pack Carlos who has 3 pairs of daily contacts. 0 I had to rush order those today.

Anyway. I would be all ill, but I leave for DISNEY this WEEK! So, It is all good!

Well, I figured it out. Something to the tune of "Nothing fits anymore" Oh, he's rubbed it in to me that I've found some of my lost weight, and has just been worried about admitting it to me that he's done the same. I picked him up two pairs of shorts this morning to expand his expanding wardrobe.

Guess what else? Not only did I get the sickness out of the way, but AF's visit too. Feeling like I won the lottery

So I've been walking around the house, 1 foot in a cayman croc and 1 foot in my merrell clogs. Wanna hate me? The Merrells are more comfy and cooler than the crocs. I know, I know, but you gals should check them out - they feel so much better. I've been doing my test for 3 hours now. Just for good measure!

Enough goofing off, back to the bag pit.

Official count: 1 carryon, 1 carryon backpack, 1 small bagglini for me - 5 checked bags (two duffle, 1 rolling duffle, 2 suitcase)

Hi Girls!

My Mondays are busy but had to say HI to my favorite gals! I have gone through some stuff today too! And did laundry while running around! Yeah me!

Lorrie.....OMG I can't believe you are leaving in less than a week! So excited AF is done with too, It really makes a difference. Glad the party was good, yadayada all the other weekend stuff..yeah you!

Kara...glad yours went well too and you squeezed that fun in.

We had company this weekend - my two best guy friends from high school and college. The boys took my husband to Six Flags (or Six Gags as I say) for some coaster ridin'. I refused, holding out for the real thing in September.

OK, so I'm at the mall last night, right? Stopped in Payless and picked up some cute little sandals for Ally when the manager of the store tells me that the county health dept was in the mall yesterday testing for swine flu! They told him that it has been confirmed in Orlando (but I can't find that on any news sites yet), and that FL is a prime target with all the cruise ships coming in here from stops in Mexico.

Oh, joy. And I"m sure Disney is so NOT a good place to be right now, what with peeps coming from all over the world. Guess I will be washing and purelling a lot this weekend! Oink!

Last night - went to bed at 11 - Jeff snoring. Finally fell asleep around 11:30. Jeff gets up at midnight, woke me up, couldn't go back to sleep until almost 4!!!!! I'm soooo tired now!

You know, My BF is going down to Cayman this weekend, so we've been talking about it a lot regarding her trip, but I never even once thought about it in relationship to Orlando, but it makes perfect sense now that you say it!

I'll be sure to be extra careful with the kids.

Carlos and I had a HUGE blowout last night. He thinks I'm packing too early. The suitcases are in our bedroom, all packed EXCEPT his stuff, so after asking 5000 times, I had it. I don't understand why he must always do everything 13th hour (yes, I said it - he is always LATE for things) drives me nuts!

Plus his plan for packing is 4 outfits and me at the laundry. I dont' think so. I think he better do his own if that is his plan. It had better not infringe on my plans either. I'm going to get his lazy butt some extra shorts today. This is just stupid.

Onik!! Tim leaves foe Austin next week. I'm a little wooried. But I just have to trust him to wash his hands really well. Just keep washing with soap and you'll be okay at Disney.

4 shorts?!?! I'd kill him but first I'd give him a roll of quarters and say have fun.

Off for a morning play date. The house is clean but I look awful. Hair not washed today or no make up on. I'd bwttrer get going.

My sister is vacationing in Mexico right now. NOt sure of what resort she's in. I should text her and see if they're fleeing the country yet.

Debbie - How are the Daisy's doing? Did you start your clean up project yet? I didn't get my steamer yet - that's my excuse for not starting

Kara - I keep hearing that it's handwashing that keeps that flu at bay - I'm sure you'll be fine. I've been trying to stress the handwashing thing around here - the kids work at a school where farm kids go, and we have alot of migrant workers who come and go from Mexico all the time - I think they know now after last year, no one got nearly as sick as last year.

Lorrie - If what Carlos doesn't do for himself is going to mess up your plans, just do it for him - that's what I have to do. I don't want to get there and hear, "where's my.....?" the whole time.

Cammie - you're on today! You can send some of that sunshine my way - well, we have the sun, but it's 50 with a really cold wind.

Ok girls, I'd better get up and get in the shower, I have to get Myles to preschool this am and I'm going to take Londynn with me to make a couple of calls on vendors for an Image Workshop I'm hosting - I'm finding it hard to get out of the house and meet up with people. I have the kids until 9pm tonight - Mark and Lindz have to go out of town to class tonight.

Lorrie - I totally agree, just pack for him. I do it for Jeff for all long trips. He does fine for weekends, but he can't understand to pack a little extra for longer trips. Men!

OK guys, Jeff's company is talking about transferring him again! I'm devastated right now! I told him to tell them NO!!! Obviously if they keep pushing it we'll have to go. But we just won't find what we have here. Yeah, it's expensive, yeah, we're far from famiy, but we have such an awesome community here - great environmnet for family. And it's been great for me, working from home, to still meet tons of people. I'm staying. That's all there is to is!
