I wish I could find a way to sync my cell phone to my puter - I took a pic of a limo that I see parked on the way to gymnastics every week. It is a limo, with the back end of a pickup truck! Seriously, I live in redneck heaven down here! And then (and no, I didn't get a pic of this!), I was walking through the mall and ya know those kiosks they have in the center of the mall? There was a guy working at the Sprint kiosk and he was sitting on a stool, CLIPPING HIS TOENAILS!!!! I swear, I couldn't make this stuff up! This is why I am a homebody!
Must tell me about the CSI - I've thought about getting that for us.
Erin - how funny! I bet it will be a great time - lots of catching up! Can't wait to hear how it goes. Don't be nervous - be yourself. If it doesn't work out, just don't talk to them for another decade!![]()

Have fun tonight Erin!!!![]()
Tessa - so great to see you!!! You do NOT have to have a trip planned to be here - we miss you! I rely on you and Erin to educate me on other customs, and just when I'm in need of a little Brit info, here you come with Pancake Day!!!!All I know is that any day that is celebrated with food is a good day for me!
I guess that's why I gained 7 lbs between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year....

I love you guys! I just have to say I have had a long tiring day and then I open up this thread to check in on my buds and it is light hearted and funny and comfortable!
You guys crack me up! First I am all deep reading Laura's post about the economy followed by Tammie and Kara's take on things where I proceed to toe clipping in public to Cammie stuck back in he real world with out WDW to pancakes to Laura saying "by the way has anyone ever built a playground"....OMG I about peed my pants!
And Tessa...I hear where you are coming from. I am missing WDW so bad and I am such a grump when I don't even have a trip in the works. If I didn't like all of you guys so much I would be taking a DIS break. It makes things too tempting and when your life is consumed with trying NOT to spend it's easier to stay away and not think about what you are missing! I am not even visiting any on-line shopping sites or the budget boards for that reason. I think I am doing better and we might even come up with a low budget trip or two. We will see! I refuse to be all doom and gloom myself but some days I admit I stress. It's the worrier in my that sneaks out!
Hiya all,
it's nice to read all the lovely replies to my NO-WDW woes.......
Well, we ate LOADS of pancakes yesterday.... my youngest had a friend round for tea and I asked if she liked pancakes and she said she had never had them..... well that's a nice challenge..... we had nutella chocolate spread, bananas in toffee sauce, lemon and sugar, cherry pie filling.....you name it....
Do you girls over the pond know it is UK pancakes we are on about??? large dinner plate size pancakes which are thinner that US pancakes but thicker than crepes. I think I had one in the US once , but....... it was wrapped round something savoury...... soooo weird....... You should try them if you haven't had them.... sooooo yummy and dead easy!!!!
Lots of recipies.. mine makes 6-8
4oz/110g plain flour
1/2pt /225ml milk (I use semi skimmed - 2% fat)
1 egg
pinch salt
Mix it all till not lumpy (alternatively give up after 3 min and sieve it) , heat a teaspoon of oil in a large frying pan, put a ladle full of mixture in, swirl it round the pan, leave for 2 min, turn - or toss/flip the pancake for more fun - leave for 1 min, EAT!!!!! Traditionally we eat them rolled up with a teaspoon of caster sugar sprinkled on and a dash of lemon juice.
Have to go alter the ticker - another pound down this week... working on the "one pound a week = 52 pounds in a year" principle!!!!! Doing my own design of diet, I call it the FOR GOODNESS SAKE WOMAN EAT LESS AND EXERCISE MORE ---YOU KNOW HOW TO DO IT diet with a day off a week so I can do things like pancakes, or eat out that day.... and not get too demoralised - hence only one pound a week....
bye,bye for now..
Tessa
So Ally and I went shopping for bathroom stuff last night - shower curtain, rugs, etc. She picked out the black/red I don't know what it's called - but it's got the woman's shoe, hat, dress, very cute, very chic. But I think it's a bit too old for her. She loves it though! So I'm thinking I'm going to try to find it with pink accents, and modify it to make it a little younger. She is torn on having a very bright bathroom (lime green, hot pink, polka dots) or this chic black/red (or black/pink) bathroom. Plus, I don't want to paint her bathroom red. It's a tiny bathroom and red is so hard to cover in the future.

This is the one we bought - with some lime green towels. I thought of painting the bathroom a pale pink (even though she wants blue....) and then stenciling big polka dots in the different colors?

Then I just found this one online... may be more appropriate for an 8 year old?

Oh, and this one is at Target!!!!
