Kara- I really didn't like my kodak and since it was being repaired again I needed a new camera for Disney. This is the link to the new one.

http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs...10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921665339426

So far so good. I like how small it is and I found it on clearance at Walmart for $99 it was originally $179 so I was super excited.

Renee- Is there any way you can choose a late breakfast time? So maybe it is like Lunch? say 10:30 or so? Maybe then you'll be hungry for more than toast?

Thanks everyone for the help on the menu. Maybe I should just leave the breakfast. After all, eggs are eggs. Carlos might have some. I think we would eat just as much for lunch there, so it might just be a wash! :) Serioulsy, I'd be okay. I like to try new stuff - Carlos, not so much. MEN...

I'm not even back 24 hours and my ex has pissed me off ROYALLY!!!]
1. Love the pics! You had NO ONE in the background of the castle one - was that 2 am too? You are so cool Cammie! I sware!!!

The buttface: Look, you know I still think he is fantastic :rotfl2: :lmao: .

Smile - tell him it IS a lot of help that could be used with Amanda and since you live BY YOURSELF and practically do EVERYTHING by YOURSELF that YOU SO UNDERSTAND. That you would LOVE to have MORE HELP yourself.

Suggest he reach into that wallet of his and find the funds to hire someone himself - get some private nurse to help out the VERY FEW times he has her. He could skip a weekend trip with wifey and more than cover it. :confused3 After all, when things are really IMPORTANT we find a way to make them happen - no don't we.

He is such an AH Cammie, I know - but I still think he is a AH!:snooty:

Hi guys. I don't know if you remember me. I was on DIS far too much before our trip. Not so much now. I get on a few times a week but not for long. I didn't read the 50ish pages I missed, but read here and there just now. I just wanted to say hi. You all have such a nice friendship. Anyway, just wanted to say hello...
Of course we remember you! Welcome back ! and hellow to you too. Everyone here is pretty awesome! :grouphug:

You guys want to know what the ex said to me?

He had a week of nursing help him and now he wants the help on a regular basis. I told him no way - I'm on my own here; he has two adults and doesn't need the help like I do - and he takes care of Amanda by himself for only 4 days a month! He actually told me that "I'm living in a fanastyland and he needs help too! Well my head nearly exploded! Anyway, what's funny is that I maintain my stance and he doesn't challenge it - just leaves. But I'm left with dealing with what he said and it pisses me off. I need to just let it slide though- I'm getting my way regardless!
:headache:  :headache:  I've already commented, but this little snide fantasyland comment really chapped me. You want to talk aobut fantasyland - where the H*ll does he think that he lives, cause it sure isn't a little planet called reality. Mr. "Oh, we need to go to a wedding - can you make Lauren go?" He just chaps my butt. :headache:

Lorrie, I looked at the Askerhaus menu - I only see a couple of things that need explaining - and I wasn't real sure about those, so I looked them up!

Venison stew - might be good if enough seasoning - I'm not a venison fan
Poached cod - I don't think so - mushy fish
Kjottkake - like meat loaf - my grandma made it a few times - kind of like swedish meatballs - more gravy and no ketchup and onions.

Lingonberry - kind of like cranberries, but sweeter

Rice Cream is like cold rice pudding, only really creamy- I love it!

It looks like they have plenty of familiar items on their menu, I wouldn't worry about a few unusual ones - just give it a taste! That's what I did at Boma - not crazy about most of it, but I enjoyed the experience!:thumbsup2
Okay, so it doesn't sound so off when you go through everything. Looks like they'd do it as a buffet - you know? That I could talk him into but I think actually ordering an item freaks him out.

He said he'd get the pasta and ask for plain pasta - no anything in it (I've seen this man do that before - super picky. :sad2: ) And then the pouting I have to deal with afterwards - :headache:

Kara - thanks about the hair. It looks better to me today. Guess it was just shock of not exactly being what I was going for. The layer that you see most doesn't look so wild - just the underneath. You can still see two gray hairs in my part. :headache: I always hate that! I was like, well, I guess at 32 I should expect that.... Then I added it up - um no, try 34 this year. Guess someone is living in denial. :lmao:

Well - Mia wants a Dora Boots party, so I'm going to do that. I picked her up a cinderella play dress at TRU yesterday that was cheaper, softer, and looked nicer than that scratchy job from DS. :confused3 Minor altering and it will be fine. It isn't as fancy, but I think it looks more princessy and it will take up 1/4 of the room.

I'll see if I can find a pic for you.

Jillian - sorry about the lack of Tshirt knowledge. I will be right there with you I'm sure. I'm thinking I will just do Nicolas' birthday one - that will be enough to make me have a fit I'm sure

:cheer2: SINGLE DAYS ! :cheer2: Getting excited??????:dance3:

Remember the friend that wanted to come down for Nicolas' birthday - the one that RUINED Mia's first birthday. Well she called and wanted to come down. I told her that we'd be going to Disney and wouldn't be here. She then suggested that she should go too. :scared1:

I gently about 5 mintues later in the conversation said that one of our good friends had wanted to go with Nicolas but that Carlos wanted to keep it a family event. She asked where we were staying - and I told her. Told her they were sold out, and that she could maybe get a room at POP (which she is too snooty for).

SOOO. I don't know how it will end up. At first I was stressed, but then I was like - know what? I'm doing my thing and if she runs into me okay, but in honestly, she is an anti-me. No planning, night owl, I just doubt our paths would even cross unless I conformed to her plan, and I'm just not willing to do that anymore. :snooty:

Thought I would just update you guys on what was going on.

It is cold here today.
Debbie - snow?:headache:

Super Excited :goodvibes I can't wait Mike has been sick all weekend and actually had to put an IV in himself yesterday as I can't do that yet. I felt so bad for him. I am going to update my trip report today and order a pair of shorts from Lands End I hope they get here in time. I need a black pair. By the way I want to see the hair!!!!

Okay, so this is the one I found yesterday.

pTRU1-4851333reg.jpg

It is hard to describe - and it doesn't look as impressive in the picture, but it is very soft. It is meant to be more of a playroom dress I think. There is a satin material that goes under the tulle layer, so there is zero scratchy that would touch the skin.

The other dress I got in was the Belle ballerina dress. It is so stinking cute, but Mia didn't even fuss when I took it off, I think because of all the tulle that was touching her skin. There is no satin layer what so ever and it is very.... itchy!

SO... what does mommy experience say?

Okay, where is the hair pic? Kara commented on it, so I thought it was on your PTR, but NO - no hair pic!:confused3

Jillian, sorry Mike was sick. At least he'll get it out of his system before your trip! I can't believe it is only 8 days!!!!

My BF told me this and I had to share with you all.

I KNOW that you don't scrapbook, but hear me out...

Idea is to take all the "art" that the kids make and not keep it all, but rather to photograph it and get rid of the "lesser" pieces rather than saving it all. Take your pictures and do one of those $19 digital scrapbooks with it, and you have a coffee table book of your child/grandchild's art.

I LOVED the idea!

Tammie - Text again - sorry. I sent it to Kara and Cammie - the only two I have saved in my phone.

I need to get you in my phone! :)

Jillian - sorry we are posting at the same time and I'm missing all sorts of stuff! I went back to see about Mike. I hope he feels better soon!

I'll have to take a pic with my camera for you guys.

My camera is a Cannon Power Shot. Kinda not quite an SLR, bit more than a zoom & shoot. I miss some great shots because of all the auto features, so I consider it a PITA. I want a DSLR, but then again, I hate this one because it is so big.

Remember - OPTICAL ZOOM is what you want to focus on. Digital Zoom often gets grainy. Just make sure you look for one with a high Optical Zoom number. Digital Zoom doesn't necessarily mean good quality.

Cammie...Kara is right. Men are in lala land! He TRULY believes he has it so....hard. They are big babies. The thing is even if it is hard he can frickin tough it out for the whopping 4 days he cares for her! I bet this is a lot of the "other" women talking too!!!!!! She is probably a spoiled brat and told him she wants the nurse! He can go bite!

Jillian...I love your new ticker!
Sorry Mike is sick but like Tammie said it will be over by your trip!

Renee...I wondered about your phone. I text-ed you a couple weeks ago about your cousin and never heard back from you. Maybe I sent it off to some stranger.

Hi Tammie...how's it going. I was thinking. Can't you use your FB page to advertise your Airbone? I would think it would be like a free web page for you.

I'm here just reading not a lot of time to respond. Party is today and then I should have more free time. Love the art photo idea. Good luck packing jiilian. I have a cookie monster raiding my pantry do I need to go.

Laura - was just wondering on my way back from Target what was up with you! Good luck on the party - looking forward to hearing how it goes!

Debbie - I didn't get anything from you, so maybe you did send it to someone else. :confused3

Good grief, Mia can't stick with anything for more than two minutes. She's big into talking about Dora & Boots, plus Mouse, plus Princesses, plus Elmo/Ernie

Driving me nuts I tell you! Granted that is a short trip, but still.

I have been rushing around like a mad woman waiting for Badookie to wake up and today he takes a long nap. I dyed my hair showered cleaned up the kitchen and caught up on here and on facebook. I think I am done for today maybe will work on the bathroom a bit later.

Hello! I made it thru the party. All went well. Exhusted. Now on to fish fry season. Yes I'm crazy. I'm turning in early.

I think that sounds like a great idea! Myles brings home all kinds of stuff! Maybe I can make a book for Lindsay for Mother's day.

Thanks Debbie! I could use FB! I still don't know what I'm doing - but it happens I got an offer for a free training on how to use those sites for marketing - I'll be smarter after tuesday!:thumbsup2

I was just going to ask how the party was:goodvibes Nothing like a fish fry in Minnesota - makes me "homesick."

Good Morning to my gal pals!

Nothing too terribly exciting this weekend. Went to the driving range yesterday and that was about it.

Jeff and Ally are going to visit his P's this weekend so I'll have the house to myself. I'm going to try to get Ally's bathroom decorated - she wants it pink/brown so I'm thinking of pale pink walls (the room is really small!) and finding a cute shower curtain and rugs.

We've talked about moving her into the larger bedroom upstairs (currently my Disney room) once we get new bedroom furniture, because she will get our queen set. She just told me she wants it blue/brown? :confused3 I was hoping for pink/green, but who knows? Her bedroom now is pale lavender with a lot of pink and green accents. But I don't want to do her bathroom and eventually her new room too kiddy, since she's getting to that "tween" age.

Did y'all watch the Oscars last night? I love the red carpet but that's about it. I haven't seen a single movie mentioned, so I could care less about all that. Debbie, your boy was looking a little rough last night - I don't like him with the long hair at all! HOpefully he's wearing it that way for a movie now....

Okay, so I've been eyeing this set of luggage for Mia from the Disney store for a while now, and it has this warning that always puts me off. Anyone know what this is about?

WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Outside of seeing it on some of the Disney Store's things, I've never even heard of this? :confused3

Here's the luggage link in case that helps any. I've just seen it on several of their products - like luggage/blankets, etc.
http://disneyshopping.go.com/disney/store/Product_10002_10051_1236760_-1_11777

Is she gonna eat the luggage? If not, I would guess she's okay. I just think that our legal system has made it such that they have to put warnings on everything! Funny, but I just read a John Grisham novel and he mentions in there that the average American household pays $1800/yr because of all the frivolous lawsuits that have happened. Remember the McD's coffee???

I wouldn't worry too much - seriously, if it were that bad, they wouldn't sell it.

It was on our small Christmas tree that we bought for downstairs. I was told it has to do with the lead content.

Here is a link for info
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Proposition_65_(1986)

It has been making me rethink buying things.
