I remember when I was 12, my dad's boss's daughter was abducted - they found her skull a year later. Even in high school, when I would ocassionally walk home, my dad taught me to alter my route each day. You just never know.

And there are so many sex offenders in FL - I subscribe to a service that alerts me anytime someone moves in within 5 miles - and that is as the eagle flies so even though they are not really that close, by going over the river and through the woods, there are some about a mile away!

Really hate my hair - but I was spending about $150 every 6 weeks. That's just too much - but maybe this new salon I found will be cheaper. But I don't really like the gal that cut it, so I need to go back when she's not there..... it's just such a pain!

I have TWO separate reservations: 1st one is three nights at SSR; 2nd in two nights at BW. So I get three TS credits for the first reservation that need to be used by midnight of the day I check out of SSR, right? I check out on Wed., and check into BW; but I'm planning on using one of my TS from my SSR reservation for dinner on Wed. at Tutto's. I am understanding this right?

Well - def recommend that you ask the dining boards - but I know from our trip that they expire midnight the day of checkout - so I'd think like you that you must use the ones you "earned" via your SSR by midnight on that checkout night. So... I'm thinking since you check out on WED, your reservation at Tuttos would fall under the TS credits for SSR. I'm very certain that I was told midnight the night of checkout by many sources.

I noticed this seemed new to me - does it help anyone out on a trip?

When traveling between 3/30 - 4/1 and 4/19 - 8/15/09 AND you stay at either Disney's Old Key West Resort or Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, you'll receive a $100 Disney Gift Card.

I forgot to tell you about what happened yesterday. We visited Mom. She starts telling Nicolas - I hear you are going to see Mickey. When you are there you'll be sweaty & sticky and there will be lots of bad thunderstorms. I'm just out of words at this point.

I told Nicolas that was NOT true, and it might be warm or cool but we'd have a great time there and not to worry.

She also made a snide comment when the kids were chasing each other that "I was smart enough to just have one. two really gets on my nerves".

Should I just stop visiting or what?

You're right, Cammie. The only thing I would wonder is Tutto's is 2TS, so if you are using one from your SSR ressie and one from your BWV ressie - would they accept that. I'm thinking yes, but I could be wrong.

Oh, people can be so thoughtless! She's probably just jealous about Disney. As far as the "kid" comment, don't worry about it. I know I said something like that to my DSIS about having her kids 13mo apart- I actually said while laughing, "your life is gonna suck for awhile." She told me 5 years later how much it hurt her. I never meant anything by it, I actually was thinking out loud, I think. I had just been through it with two in diapers myself, and I thought it was funny if she was going to go through it, too. Her kids are very special to us, and I wouldn't have ever meant to hurt her.

I don't remember when I set up my reservation being told that it was 2 table services. I think it is just one. I looked in passporter and it doesn't list it as two either.

HOWEVER - good reminder to me that I need to print of the DDP info!

I'm scrapping today to. I just really feel depressive or something - I don't quite know how to describe it. I did put a load of laundry in. I think I"m down on my inability to get with a diet and stick to it. I feel really guilty about that.

ANYWAY, I'm trying to do a little trip planning to get me perked up, so that is what I'm doing today. Even thought the kitchen is SCREAMING for some attention.

It is so hard to find someone who does your hair right. It took me awhile here. I have really fine, straight, thin hair. My gal does it just right (most of the time) and she knows how to fix it if I'm having troubles with it - she trades Arbonne for hair and sends me referrals, so I love it! That reminds me, I need to call her right now.....

I don't think she is jealous. Says she wouldn't go even if we paid - UNLESS she could stay at the resort all day when it was Jan.

But thanks for that. Sometimes I just don't get why she has to try to be like that with them - then again, they just don't think when they say a LOT of stuff. Like "We saw this guy who played Santa at the mall at Cracker Barrel, etc.

Part of me just got hurt because I want her to be positive - you know, "wow - that is cool you are going" "sounds like fun" etc. I guess that "the lions will bite you on the safari" that RUINED his fun on that ride is still just too fresh for me.

Yes, I am 99% sure you have that entire day/night to finish them up.

Your Mom is just completely inapprpriate when she talks to your kids. It's weird. Why would you want to strike fear in a child or disappoint them? Most Grandma's sugar coat stuff and sway from the truth so as to not disappoint. Sorry Renee but she is a piece of work!

It is what it is, I just need to toughen my skin a bit I guess. I've had the talk with Nicolas that I'll always tell him the truth about things - so that has built trust and that should help on the rides, etc. I'll just educate myself about them and tell him all that I know and let him decide off that.

PS - I PROMISE I will get those shoes to you soon! I keep stressing about it, but do I find that stupid box to mail them in... noooooo.. I PROMISE I'll do it Saturday!

No, Tutto is only 1 TS. And the way I understand it I agree with Lorrie - until midnight on checkout day to use your credits. But Cammie, why wouldn't they just add up all your credits and the total nights you're staying there? I would call and ask. Actually, call 2 or 3 times in case you get different answers....

Lorrie, sorry but I agree with Debbie. That was totally inappropriate for your mother to say. We had to kick my FIL out of our house one time because he was being an a$$ and I didn't want him making some of the comments he was making with Ally around. So I stormed out of the room and told Jeff to get him out. Took about 5 minutes and they left. This has happened a couple of times, and each time, he knows I"m serious. Jeff's mom always apologizes but his dad has yet to ever apologize for his actions. I'm waiting for the time it happens here and they have more than a 15 minute drive to get home!

Seriously, if that were me (but then I tend to fly off the handle pretty easy where my parents are involved), I would grab the kids and leave. And make it perfectly clear WHY I was leaving. But then I'm an evil witch like that!

Debbie - no worries - seriously. There have been a lot harsher things said here behind closed doors. I agree. Not that we sugar coat things, but there are many topics, etc that don't get discussed around the kids. I just feel like they are kids - they don't need to know those things quite yet.

I guess you got to the heart of my issue - she talks to them like they are adults - which is what she always did with me - so I shouldn't be shocked.

Okay, I just noticed a flaw to my plan... sort of, but I wanted to run by you guys how I'm planning on spreading the days out and see what you think. Keep in mind, we'll let the kids schedule drive us - but we're planning on getting to the park early, being done a bit past lunch - nap - little more park, dinner and call it a day with the kiddos asleep by 8 if possible.

Arrival day - (in at 1) visit AKL & Boma at 6
Day 2 - AK
Day 3 - HS
Day 4 - MK (evening stroll/dinner at Epcot)
Day 5 - MK (evening stroll/dinner at Epcot)
Day 6 - E
Day 7 - MK

How does that look? Kara, I know you told me 1 1/2 days at HS because of the shows - but my kids WON'T do VoLM (Nicolas is scared of that cartoon), so here I'm counting on just doing PHD, TSM, Jedi Training, MAYBE Muppets and char greetings. I think we should be able to handle all that in 1 day - right?

Thanks for the feedback guys. I had thought Tutto's was 2TS also but confirmed that it wasn't. Was just concerned that when I checked into BW on Wed and got my new DDP credits, my credits from the old SSR would cancel? (I know that makes no sense.)

Kara - I have to book DDP thru DVC member services; and I did ask why it couldn't be just combined for the whole week. I was told no - 2 separate reservations and I couldn't link. Guess it's ok; I'm utilizing the TS; would have only been worried about having leftover snack credits. Never did think of calling back and seeing if I get a different answer though.

Sorry I haven't gone back and read everything I've missed. I get so wrapped up in the "Lost" thread - I don't know where the time goes. Have Lauren's curriculum night tonite - just so much running around right before vacation.

And, btw - Lauren got jewelry from her boyfriend for Valentine's day! Gee - no one's giving me jewelry!

Oh nuts! I thought Tuttos was a Signature dinner. I wanted to eat there, but didn't book it because of that. Now I'm thinking about changing, before they make it a 2TS like they have done with some of them.

Sorry, I guess I missed this. See - that is what I want to do, but I never do. Not my nature. I sit there - suck it up, and beat myself up about "should've done this - that, etc". That is why I had ulcers at age 10 though, so I should try to get out of it I guess.

I keep telling myself I should expect her to be perfect because she is my mom... but man....
